Hello Kehau and welcome to YWS! It's a great website for every aspiring writer (which I assume you are because you have joined )
You happened to come on one of the review days which occur the last sunday of every month. Review days are dedicated solely to reviewing other people's works, rather than posting your own. On a regular day you can earn points for reviews and use those points to post your works.
What do you like to write? Have you written anything yet? There are many categories to post your works as you can see under "Submit". After you post a work it is open for others to review, meaning give critiques and tell you what they liked and didn't like. And you can do the same on other people's works.
So that was my brief summary of YWS, I hope it was helpful Feel free to message me any more questions or post them on my wall (which you find by clicking my name). Welcome again and I look forward to seeing your works!

So everyone just reviews other people's work on Review days?
I like writing Romance and recently I've been getting into Sci-fi. I haven't written on this site yet but my computer is filled with ideas and stories that I've started. What do you like to write?
Yes review days are dedicated to reviewing although you should still review on every other day I like writing romance, too so I'd be happy to look at what you have. YWS is a great place to experiment with things so you should be sure to post some of your Sci-Fi because many people here will give you tips and advice.

Well I suppose first off I'd like to say that despite the site seeming like a huge place when you first join, it really isn't once you stalk it for like a week. x) My best advice would be to roam and explore as much as possible. Most pages usually have some form of direction written out for you to follow, but everyone has their questions and worries of course. I know I did! I find that this thread probably contains many of the answers you'll need to some of the questions you may have.
Also, if you're ever feeling a little lost or as though you have a question that needs more direct answering, the people in any of the colored names might be of great help to you. They're the sites junior mods, global mods, and site administrators. They're really nice, so no need to be shy. ^-^ You can also feel free to ask me of course, since I am here now to greet you! I'd be glad to answer any questions you may have, or to lend a friendly review if you need it. Either post a comment on my wall or PM(private message) me and I'll be quick to get back to you.
Anyway though, I really hope you enjoy the site. And welcome again!
Thank you for the welcome SymlinG. This site is pretty big and I'm somewhat overwhelmed by it. Thanks for the advice about getting to know the site and the link to the thread. Also thank you for the colors and names of the mods. I was a little confused as to why there were some colored names
Haha, yeah... the colored names are kind of confusing at first, but it's all good. And YES. This site is big! But, we're a good little community, so it works out somehow. We have a blogs portion, a fiction place, a poetry place, and a bunch of other interesting boards on writing. Plus, we have a clubs group where there are many little groups that like to talk things out and everything in smaller groups.
Anyway, if you have any questions, feel free to bug me!
Also... your avatar looks delicious. I WANT.
