What is a Review Team?

Beginning May 1, 2011, the Young Writers Society will be having review competitions. These competitions last for one month. Those who wish to join in the competition are randomly divided up into four teams. Anyone can join at any point in the month.

The four teams compete with one another on the basis of points. You may earn points by greeting new members in the Welcome forum, helping out others in the Writing Tips forum, or (most commonly) by reviewing literary works. Since the teams compete based on points rather than reviews, a team that writes 15 quality reviews will easily beat a team that writes 100 clumsy reviews.

How does it work?

During the course of the competition, all participants will see a counter in the top left hand corner of the page showing the number of points earned by each team. Additionally, each team has it's own club and team captain. Your team captain is in charge of coming up with a name, team spirit, and anything else (such as a flag or motto).

How can I join?

I think Jagged's pic pretty much sums it all up.
"Let's eat, Grandma!" as opposed to "Let's eat Grandma!": punctuation saves lives.

Yes! I'm so excited for this.
"Many people hear voices when no-one is there. Some of them are called mad and are shut up in rooms where they stare at the walls all day. Others are called writers and they do pretty much the same thing."

YESSSSS

I was confused, though--I don't remember clicking "join" before I was added to a group, and when I clicked the link to take me to my group, it led me to the group for spoons.

...it took me a little while to figure things out. :P
"Ok, Lolpup. You can be a girl worth fighting for."

Quick question. If someone posts a literary work, does that effect his or her team points negatively?
"I've never told a lie, and that makes me a liar
I've never made a bet, but we gamble in desire
I've never lit a match with intent to start a fire,
But recently the flames are getting out of control"
