Gripping my clothes tighter, I waltzed into my bathroom.

“Oh. Hello, Obs!” Jade said abnormally, a toothbrush hanging lifelessly from the corner of her mouth. I cured our double-bathroom.

“What do you want?” I asked, going in and closing the shower curtain. I yelped as my toe kicked the tub wall and my head hit the shower head- simultaneously. Now that’s just skill.

“Are you alright?” Jade asked.

“Yea. I’m fine.” I hissed, revealing just my head from the shower curtain.

“What was that nois-” Asked Ellion, barging in. Ellion and Jade’s eyes met, and Ellion immediately looked down.

“Why is he here?” Jade asked.

“I offered a ride to school. His parent’s left-front tire was deflated by some punks.”I lied quickly. “Can you get out, Ellion? I’m half-naked here!”

I didn’t even see him leave, he was that quick.

“Oh, doesn’t he just melt your heart?” Jade asked, sighing towards the mirror.

“Yeah.” I said, not completely lying.

“WHAT?”

“Huh?” I asked, confused.

“You like him?!”

“No!”

“Oh. Good.” She said. I struggled with my pajama bottoms, ripping them off and pulling up my jeans. “He’s just so pretty.” She sighed dreamily.

“You’d go for a Snake? I though you hate us.” I said, jerking my shirt over my head

“I’d overlook that for Ellion. He isn’t nearly as bad as your kin.”

“Well I think your bitches are as bad as my snakes.”

“They are dogs.” She hissed.

“Whatever.” I said, walking from the shower with my shirt and pants changed. I grabbed my small makeup kit and a mirror that had dents from the handle.

“El, I’m done.” I said, walking from the bathroom. “Do you want to experiment?” I asked him.

“Huh?” He replied, dropping the male supermodel magazine.

“Um… okay then. Anyways, here’s my makeup.”

“Oh. Sit, sit. Welcome to Ellion’s Make-up Shack. We specialize in terrible makeovers and things that remind people of death. We offer everything from tattoos or haircuts. What would you like?” He asked like a receptionist at a barber shop or something.

“It’s urgent; I really need you to give me the best makeover you’ve ever done!”

“You’ve come to the right place.” He grabbed my hand and pulled me onto the bed. Before I knew it, I was sitting cross-
legged with my eyes closed as Ellion began to softly apply purple makeup.

“What the Hell?!” Jade demanded, bursting through the door. Both Ellion and myself jumped. “You said you’d keep your filthy paws off of him!”

“You’re asking me what the hell? WHAT THE HELL?” I demanded, utterfly confused and shocked.

“I heard ‘I really need you. I want you to give me the best you’ve ever done’!”

“No. I said ‘I really need you to give me the best makeover you’ve ever done!’”I replied.

“I don’t think so!”

“What did you think I was doing with Ellion, huh?” I asked. “Admit everything, Jade! He’s puzzled enough!”

“I though you were-” She paused, thinking out her words. “As Michelle said, ‘doing the deed’.”

“You though we were having se-!”

“Whoa, keep it E-rated!” Ellion shrieked.

“Well, too bad for you that he’s gay!” I yelped before I could think. My hand plummeted towards my mouth, covering it in shock. How could I had let that slip? What sort of friend am I?! Are terrible one!

“I’m leaving.” Ellion grunted.

“Ell-”

“Bug off, Obsidian! You’re no better than the Dogs!” He yelled, transforming and heading for the door.

“Wait, Ellion!” I grabbed him by the tail. He spun and-

He bit me.

Blood gushed from my wound as I dropped him a shock. It burned with a fire even I couldn’t fathom.

“Oh my God, Obsidian! MACKENZIE!” She screamed towards downstairs. She put me down on the bed, where a silent tear escaped me. It was a mix of both pain and betrayal, marching down my cheek like a silent warrior. That started the downpour of tears.

Our guardian burst through the door, barely missing stepping on Ellion’s head.

“Obsidian, what happen?”

“My fri- one of my snakes… turned rouge and bit… me. It was a coral snake.” I hissed between weeps.

“Which means?”

“It was venomous- highly.” Jade said, putting her hand over the two puncture marks on my thumb. The only things I
could think of was the pain, searing up my arm into the rest of my body in pulses.

I saw Ellion slithering under the bed- and luckily no one else did. I kicked him, hard as I could, sending him flying from the room.

“What was that?” Mackenzie asked, though she didn't turn around. She had grabbed my hand and was mumbling something about karma.

“A… rat.” I lied, sobbing. I hoped Jade could tell the truth, though. Maybe. She gave me a suspicious glare before it was replaced with empathy.

“What should we do?”

“Just… ooh, get The snake Director!” Jade replies.

“Driector Lellan? He’s never really liked even his own student-”

“He’s the most powerful Snake here. Just bring him- he’ll know what to do!”

I start to see things in fragments. Sort of like what you would see if a movie was put really, really slow. Until, eventually, I didn’t see things at all.

Trust me, all will be explained in the next chapter.

Hi this is Pixie2. I think you had a pretty good start but, Smetimes I did not know who was speaking. Next time mabey you have to write the name of the person that is talking. But the rest was divine! Totally cool and detailed, and you could tell what is going on.I love your story. You have to write what I said above because, you don't want people not thinking who the person speaking is. You want them to imagine it in their minds.I loved it because It gave me goosbumps. The person explaining the topic is a great with details and I love to see that in storys. I hope this inproved your thoughts. I can't wait to look over your next chapter. Love it so much!

All you need is faith, trust, and a little bit of pixie-dust!

I’d heard he had started a fistfight in one of the seedier local taverns because someone had insisted on saying the word “utilize” instead of “use".
