Hello, I'm new.
Not that you haven't already guessed as much seeing as we are on the 'welcoming mat' and all.
Speaking of which, I heard this is the place to introduce myself. So again, "Hello" :smt003

Hi SeeMySoul27! I'm Kat, otherwise known as Always, Al, AW, Writer, or any other variation of my username or name. Welcome to YWS! -shakes your hand-

Going into Chat will make you friends quicker, sometimes. To do so, go to the Front page, and look under the big picture. It'll say Chat Room a list of people in it. ^^ Just don't use Chatspeak, curse words, or excessive caps.

How'd you find YWS? What do you like to do? Do you have any animals?

Feel free to PM me with any questions!

-Kat

Hello, SeeSoul! I'm Ellie.

Welcome to YWS! I hope you're enjoying yourself so far. :D This is really an awesome site.

Have you been getting along well? Tell us a little about yourself! How long have you been writing? What genres do you prefer to write in, and are you more of a poetry or prose writer? Any favorite authors?

Again, I hope you're enjoying yourself, and feel free to send me a PM if you have any questions or need a review.

Ooh, so squishy!

Haha. Anyways...hello SeeSoul and welcome to the world of tomorrow (a.k.a. YWS)!
But lean in close because I have three super secret tips and tricks for not being shot out of a cannon and out of here. (Kidding of course!)

1. Make sure you use good grammar. Since this is a writing site, we try to encourage good grammar and discourage net speak.

2. Never be afraid to ask questions. YWS has gone through a lot of changes lately (and still is all of the time). And even been here for over two years I still catch myself having to ask questions.

3. Reviewing is seriously the best thing you can do for yourself as a writer. (or artist. You never actually said what it is you do... What do you like to do?) Plus it's a great way to make friends on the site!

Anyways, I hope you enjoy your stay here!
Never forget who you are, for surely the world will not. Make it your strength. Then it can never be your weakness. Armor yourself in it, and it will never be used to hurt you.

Hi Kat, Ellie and Lily, *waves*

My name's Cait. Known as nothing else other than my username as of the moment. It's nice to meet you all. Thanks for the warm fuzzy feeling and advice. I'm sure once I get around to following it, it'll prove useful.

I found YWS the same way I find other random things, I googled it, or more precisely I googled 'writing sites' and it caught my attention. I like YWS so far. It’s very easy to navigate and people here are very friendly. :smt003

Other than googling random things during my lengthy periods of boredom, I like to spend time alone, writing or drawing. I’ve been writing poetry in rare bursts for the last five years. Within the past three I’ve been having a go at stories. Fortunately I haven't drowned from the attempt, yet. :)

I’m more of a prose writer and I’m fond of writing in many different genres, including science fiction, romance and mystery. I’ve read many different authors, but like most people I have my top five. My list contains Terry Goodkind, Sherrilyn Kenyon, Stephen King, Ellen Hopkins and Dean Koontz.

Maybe you guys can name some of your own, so I can dig around and grow my list. :?:

If I’m not writing and the weather is nice I'm outside running across fields with an egg-shaped ball, or being thrown into three-foot deep pools by friends I enjoy annoying with my tirelessness. :smt003

As for animals I have a Miniature Collie named Uno. He's ninety-one in dog years, which would make him thirteen in ours. My brother has his own gerbil that runs around the house in an orange ball if that counts. I used to have a smokey green-eyed cat named Killer as well.

Thanks again for the greetings and of course the advice, it's much appreciated. :smt003
