Well, we could have it so people could either choose note on my desk or scribble on my... whatever people have been saying. Those at least seem the most popular...

I would like this, but like Snoink said, it could probably get too confusing.
And the two most popular options I believe are "Writing in your notebook" (or scribbling, I like writing better though) and "Leaving a note on your desk".
However, I like Evi's suggestion about having it be the "Notebook" and "post a comment" could be replaced by "leave a note". I don't know about others, but I don't write on a desk. Sometimes I'll do it snuggled up in bed, Other times I'll be lying on a couch or at a coffee shop. Besides, a notebook, while it's diminished in use recently, sounds really writerly and I know I still use one to jot down ideas quite frequently.
