Um, my favourite genres to read are classics and historical fiction. I'm a huge fan of Les Misérables and The Phantom of the Opera, as well as anything written by Charles Dickens or one of the Brontes. That said, I'm also getting into science fiction-esque stories--I seem to be working my way through dystopia novels. (1984 and Brave New World being my favourites thus far.)
My favourite things to write would be the same (although I doubt that I could ever reach classic status). I have somewhat of a purple prose problem, I can't help but write many flowery descriptions. I also have problems with inferiority complexes, I get so nervous and self-conscious about my writing in general that I am afraid to turn official essays in. My strengths in writing would definitely be in nonfiction, though, as I can't seem to hold a plot for very long without digressing.
When I'm not reading or writing, I'm performing or... reading. Yeah. So, that's me.
