Hi Heather, welcome to YWS! I wouldn't worry about getting published right away-just take time to develop yourself as a writer and artist. J.R.R Tolkien didn't get Lord of the Rings published until he was in his 50s, and look how popular that became! Anyway, send me a PM if you have any questions about the site-or if you need a review.

Thanks everyone, for the awesome welcome. Some of you have asked me questions so I'll try to answer them... What do I write? Romance, Young Adult, Fantasy, Action/adventure, Sci Fi. Pretty much everything. Vanilla with chocolate chips or Chocolate and mint? Um, both. Heh. What am I trying to get published? Oh, a few things. Mainly my Action/adventure/fantasy with a dash of romance.... Among other things.
Oh, and yes. Australia. Beautiful Australia. *sighs* And yes, I draw and paint. And thank you, shubhiloves2write. It is a lovely pic. And lava, personally, I'm sick of cricket.
