Hola!

Hello, all! I absolutely love to write, and I enjoy sharing my work with others. I stumbled across this site and like what I see, so I'm diving in!
I look forward to reading your work, and I hope some of you will read mine.

I am an 18-year-old Christian young woman, a freshman in college, majoring in International Studies (specifically Middle Eastern studies).

I was born 4 months premature, weighing 1 pound and 12 ounces at birth, and I have a ton of health issues. My medical file resembles Webster's Dictionary. If you ever need medical advice for a story, ask away - chances are I'll be able to answer! When I'm not in the hospital (or visiting it for checkups), I enjoy reading, writing stories, playing computer games, and hanging out with friends.

I speak passable Spanish, really bad French, and decent Arabic. My dad is a former police officer, and has taught me to handle pistols and rifles. We compete in target shooting matches together. For more on those, check out the International Defensive Pistol Association at http://www.idpa.com

I'm so excited to see you've joined. I read your introduction, and I got really excited. We have a lot in common, plus, you sound so cool. Like.. majorly. You put me to shame.

Secondhand Lions? Best movie ever. Prince of Egypt? Also very cool.

Omg, you horseback ride and ice skate? You've just gained even more respect from me. That's fantastic. Both sports are really cool, really fun to watch, and full of hardwork. Doing both? You're a beast.

Chocolate? We're BFFs now.

Christian? We're siblings. Yup.

It's wonderful to meet you! Especially someone who's excited to be here as you are. =D What kind of things to you write? Did you try for a novel yet? Maybe poetry? Lyrics? I remember Mama Hut telling me I should try to write some lyrics/songs for the season of Epiphany 'cause she can never find any for church (she plays the organ). Maybe you write lyrics!

I'm a good shot with pistols and rifles (for those of you who are fans of "24", my Dad calls me "Jacqueline Bauer"), and a pretty good rider. I spend more time flat on my back than on my feet when I'm ice skating (cursed balance issues), but I love to try!

Welcome to YWS! We also have a lot in common and I have to say this but I love the Prince of Egypt, it is my all time favourite animated film. It is absolutely gorgeous, particularly the music.
