Yep, I have no idea what to say now. I remember that I got here after watching over the shoulder of my friend who was here around two years ago, and the site looked totally different from now. Well, not exactly true. Um... awkward wording. I actually got here from the NaNo site, when I saw somebody mention YWS here, and it brought back memories of a clean blue background and a less shiny and distracting homepage. So, that's about it.

And um, nice to meet you all! Hi!

Hmm smells a bit of history :D

Welcome to the YWS community. I'm not here long myself, but I already know that this community is just really great for those who seek help with their writings and then help those who seek that help too. Hope to see your works soon :)

Tony: You won't hurt me.
John McClane: Oh, yeah? Why not?
Tony: Because you're a policeman. There are rules for policemen.
John McClane: Yeah. That's what my captain keeps telling me

Hi Aery welcome to YWS! The site has changed an awful lot in the past two years, but I assure you it is still as epic as ever. So I'm gonna ask some questions :)

Did you win NaNo?
What's your favorite fruit?
What's your favorite movie?
Who's your favorite author?
Do you like to write by hand or type?

Just a few questions to get to know you a little more :). Feel free to PM me if you have any questions about the site or just want to chat.

Hi everyone! I've just got back from my lesson and... yeah, I know, nobody cares. Thanks for the welcome!

I absolutely love fantasy, 'specially stuff that starts out YA-ish and turns Darker and Edgier as time goes on. And fan fiction. I write far too much of that. Ooh, and comedy. Especially slapstick comedy with a Hurricane of Puns. This is what I find the funniest, accompanied with irony and sarcasm, but my friends all find it tasteless. Ah well.

As for favorite authors... Terry Pratchett would be at the top of my list for a while now. Still trying to collect the rest of the Discworld series. I especially love the Rincewind, the wizards, and the Mort-Death-Susan mini-series. They're great fun. Neil Gaiman, Shakespeare, and Melissa Marr would follow after him.

And, yeah, I won NaNo. My first time participating. :D It made my year. Well, considering that there was only one month of the year left, yeah.

My favorite fruit is... I dunno. I have loads of them. Apples and mangoes and lychees and cherries and lots of others.

Movie... It'd have to be The Fall. I've just watched it in class about a month ago, and it was beautiful. I cried in the classroom. :) Luckily for what dignity I have left to salvage, nobody noticed or if they did, they didn't comment.

And I like both. If I'm going to be writing small scenes, just for the sake of writing something, then I prefer writing by hand. If I actually have a plot (which so rarely happens to be the case), then I'm going to type it up on my laptop. When I'm in a totally random mood, I write in Teeline shorthand. Confuzzles the bug out of everybody who happens to be looking over my shoulder.

So, nice to meet you all! Thanks again!

Well hey there Aery!
I'm JustDance but call me JD.
Glad to know you joined, even if after a long time. :)
YWS has changed quite a lot, hope it's not too confusing for you.
So you actually do NaNo, and won? Congratulations! You must be proud of yourself. It's a huge accomplishment.
So anything you working on right now as far as writing is concerned?
PM me for any questions!

Myah, I feel mildly narcissistic for keeping this alive when there are other new members too. XD
Well, JD, thanks! YWS is still big and confusing, but I think I'll get it by the end of the week. It's like moving in to a new house, or going for an exchange program and stuff. Maybe not the last one, since i never experienced it, but joining YWS does feel like moving. Even if there wasn't anywhere to move from, really.

And, there is one project I'm working on. The Adventures of Punctuation. Right now, it's turning out to be extremely based on TV Tropes. Exclamation Mark is the Jerk With a Heart of Gold, Comma is the Cloudcuckoolander, Period is the Deadpan Snarker, and Question Mark is the Bishoujo. And they're going on a Fetch Quest. Yep, TV Tropes is everywhere.

Thanks! I'll be sure to PM you, as soon as I can figure out how to do that.
