Hey, happy new year.

I'm Lykaios, and I believe I was a member here before, like years ago. But I forgot my username/password and the site wouldn't let me reactivate so here's me, again, maybe with a different name, I can't remember.

Anyway, I'm a member of two other big teen writing forums that some of you might have heard of, and I also administrate a smaller forum using Zetaboards.

I've been writing seriously since I was about twelve, and I generally write prose. I usually write children's historical/fantasy stories, but in the last year I've started something quite different, which is proving to be an enjoyable challenge, taking up two NaNoWriMos. xD I've dabbled in poetry, but the results were pretty dire, so I gave up.

I've heard a lot about this place. *Waves to everyone*

Hey Lykaios, Happy New Year! Welcome to YWS, or perhaps welcome back. ^_^ I'm Evi, at your service. Hope you enjoy it here!

You seem to have a pretty impressive history with writing sites, eh? Which other two sites are you a member of? Whatever they are, I assure you they can't possibly be as amazing as this place is. ;)

PM me if you need a critique or something. I'd be happy to help.

Welcome back! My name is Lisa, but you can call me Captain Cutthroat, or Cutthroat. Or whatever, I'm not picky. So you like to write prose? Me too, I actually have a strong dislike for poetry. Why don't you tell us a little bit more about yourself?

1.) What is your favorite color?
2.) Biggest pet peeve?
3.) Favorite author/book?
4.) Choose one, Ninjas or Pirates?
5.) If you could be any flavor of ice cream, what flavor would you be and why?

If you have some time, you should try and join us in chat sometime. It is always a fun time.
I am not addicted to reading, I can quit as soon as I finish one more chapter.

Hello Lykaios,
I am also a returning member who lost my old password... but I'm glad I did, because I was a mean reviewer back then, and I got in a lot of arguments.
I've always wanted to hear from someone who went about writing children's books; I hear that it's a really competitive business in the publishing world.
But nice to meet you and I hope to see your work around yws. :smt001

Hey, thanks for the welcomes!

Evi - My other writing sites are YWO and TW, and they are amazing, thouigh they're totally different. And the site I run is called Spattered Ink. :)

Moriah Leila - Hi, my favourite colours are orange and blue.
My biggest peeve is my brother. xD
My favourite author . . . hmmm, I like lots, really, but some that stand out are Cornelia Funke, Neil Gaiman, Andrea Levy and Eva Ibbotson. My favourite books are The Time Traveller's Wife, Small Island, Maddigan's Fantasia, The Thief Lord, The Picture of Dorian Gray, and the Inkheart series.
I am definitely a pirate. 'Drink up, me hearties, yo ho!' :D
Oh, and I like all icecream, except mint and lemon.

Juniper - Hi, Junisoar! You're on YWO, yeah?

Empressoftheuniverse - I wouldn't know about that. I don't write childrens books to publish, I write because I love writing. Publishing would be cool, but it's not really something I'm aiming at yet. :)

Oy, same here! It's nice to see someone who isn't utterly crazy on publishing. I used to be like that, but... yeah. I ruined too many novels by trying to make the plots "publishable." (Hint: doesn't work.)

Anyway, see you around! :D
