I'm June, welcome to YWS! Feel free to PM me if you have any questions, or just want to talk or anything! I'm not responsible for any IQ losses brought on while talking to me, though.
Haha, I know what you mean. My given name isn't June, but everyone I know either calls me June or Rami, unless it's my mom and I'm getting in trouble. In fact, if she's calling me for something serious that I'm in trouble about, she takes time to pronounce every letter and syllable carefully with emphasis. It's annoying!
And the phobia of people reading your work? I have that too. Actually, the reason I joined YWS was about the same, because anyone that I could get to read my work was just, "Oh this is good!" but I needed people to strip it of fat and get down to the bones...
And YWS totally became that place. I'm rambling! So, I'm going to go-- oh, and if your manuscript gets rejected, save alllll of your rejection letters, so that you can make a big pinata when you do get accepted, and wack all those letters. In the face.
Hope you enjoy your stay here!
June

=) I have a bulletin board where I'm going to keep the rejection letters so I can put them in a scrapbook later. And rambling is awesome--I ramble all the time which is why I have to proofread posts like these and cut out all the extra random junk.
Welcome to YWS! Yeah, I love Flyleaf too! You're much braver than I for sending out a manuscript, I won't even let my husband read my stuff.
I know you've already been bombarded with a ton of questions, but I feel it is very important for every Newbie to answer my questions, mostly because they are just so dramatical. (Not sure if that is a word, but oh well!)
1. If you were any flavor of ice cream, what would you be and why? 2. What is your biggest pet peeve? 3. Choose a side. Good or EVIL? (Choose EVIL, EVIL, EEEEEEVIL!!! MWAH HA HA HAHA!) 4. After that last question do you now think I am rather strange? 5. How many licks does it take to get to the center of a Tootsie Pop?
I am not addicted to reading, I can quit as soon as I finish one more chapter.
1. The kind with cookie dough and caramel in it. I have no idea why, I just like that kind of ice cream. 2. Biggest pet peeve is grammatical errors and people calling me emo (because I'm not) and my mom not sharing the coffee maker. 3. Evil, duh. 4. Not really. I'm still weirder. 5. More than I have the patience to count.
