Another woman comes forth, her form swirling with blues and purples. This woman’s skin shimmers with otherworldly light, and as she steps out of the shadows wings become visible. Butterfly wings woven with all colours of the rainbow.
As I stand frozen in shock, they begin to fade into the forest, almost as if they are going to another world. Both of them are looking at me out of the corners of their eyes, inviting me to follow them. They fade deeper and deeper, their forms almost indistinguishable. Before I lose sight of them, they have blended together, a single entity being taken by the forest. I walk away slowly, glancing over my shoulder every few steps. Fear had kept me in place while they vanished, and now, all I was left with was a question.
Did I see a Native, or did I see a fairy?
