Hi everyone! My name is LRJack89 and I'm 20 years old. I love writing stories and just discovered this website today. My hobbies include reading, writing, and listening to music amongst other things. Right now, I like to write fiction stories and am planning to become an author one day. So if you want to tell me about yourself, you can write me back. Hi, LRJack89! Welcome to YWS! Careful, this place is addictive. I'm Sunny, and I'm 16, and I also love to write! (Who'da thunk it?)

First of all, just some simple, easy rules:

1) 2:1 ratio. Let me 'splain. For every entry you post, you must do 2 reviews on someone else's work of writing. Reviews are three lines and longer. I usually just scroll through the fiction forums and look at any one that strikes my fancy, and I review it. Or you can review a work of a friend's or something. And also, reviews are meant to be constructive, helpful, and honest, meaning they aren't if they are: "This is awesome, you rock!" But you probably understand how unhelpful that it.

2) No chat speak or caps. This one is a cinch, at least for me. Because this is a writing website, we want to develop our writing skills, so things like "i rlly liked this but i cant write, lol" or "MAN THIS WAS COOL". Basically, it's just annoying.

and 3) You must rate your work. If your work has sexual content or swearing or graphic scenes, you should rate it PG-13 or R. It really bothers those of us that don't read that stuff, you know?

And now that's over, I shall "tell you about myself". I love writing, and I pretty much always have. I aspire to be a teacher, preferably high school or post secondary, but I do want to leave room for, well, writing! Favorite authors: Eva Ibbotson, William Shakespeare (who doesn't?), Melina Marchetta, Robin McKinley, among others. I'm a totally Star Trek fanatic, and my favorite color is red. My novel is 106 pages long, consisting of 10 chapters and 50,034 words. I want to tour Europe one day, and get married and have kids.

So, now that that's done, you can talk about yourself. What do you write? What authors do you like? Books? Movies? You said you listen to music, what kind?

Hi Sunny, it's nice to meet you and thanks for replying. Yeah, I can see how this place can be addictive, I'm starting to like it more already Anywho, thanks for the rules about the website, I was a little lost about that before reading what you posted. It's cool that you want to teach when you get older. My grandmother was a teacher and it's a good thing because she can help me with my homework a lot when I need it. Well, going back to writing for a second, I'm into writing fiction stories and right now I'm trying to work on writing a novel, but it's very short, only about 76 pages for now. I complement you for having such a long novel, that takes dedication!
Well, more about me, my favorite color is purple, I loved the show The X Files for years, (and still do, even though it's cancelled.) one of my favorite movies is Titanic (I can't think of any others at the moment.) and some of my favorite stories are Running out of Time and The Most Dangerous Game. I listen to all kinds of music, R&B, Oldies, Soft Rock, but I think my favorite is R&B. I know it sounds strange but I don't really have a favorite author. I do like a few though like Stephen King, and R.L. Stine. I think I've said enough now, lol, so you can write me back if you want to. Again it was nice meeting you. Bye

What types of Music do you listen too? Avril Lavinge and Taylor Swift are my favorites. I also like Flyleaf and the Killers.

Hi Thorn. It's nice to meet you I'm pretty much into writing novellas and short stories. Right now, I am working on a novella that I hope to get published soon. Do you want to get your novel published?
I like different types of music and can't really put my finger on particular artists that are my favrorite but if I had to choose I would say Michael Jackson, Chris Daughtry, Maxwell, just all sorts of artists.
I was going to send you a pm but it looked a little confusing so I just wrote the message here, hope you don't mind. Also, how do you send friend request? Sorry for the question but I'm still new to this website. Well, write me back whenever you can. Thanks
