Helloooo peoples!

Hey everybody! I'm Miniauthor, and I just wanted to introduce myself since I'm new here, and everyone keeps recommending for me to do this. So! Just a bit about me: I love writing, I've been doing it since about third grade and I write fantasy/sci fi stories. I'm hoping to get my fantasy story I'm working on right now published before I graduate high school. (I know I'm probably insane in hoping that, but hey, I'm allowed to dream right?) Anyway, just sayin' hi!

Hiya, Miniauthor! I just critiqued the story you posted, and I figured I'd pop in and say hi! So, um, hi!

In a few minutes, someone with a blue name (a greeter) is probably going to come by and say hi, get you up to speed on all the general rules, and ask you your favorite flavor of ice cream (be thinking )

You are absolutely not insane for thinking you can get your story published by the time you graduate! I'm going to be a junior this year, and I still have that dream.

Fantasy/sci-fi is awesome. I love those genres too. My imagination's too wild to stick in the real world.

So tell us a little bit more about yourself. What are your other hobbies? What are your favorite books and authors? What's your favorite flavor of-- Well, I won't steal all the thunder away from the greeters.

Well thanks for sayin' hi! Hm, a bit more about myself? I love the *sucks in deep breath* Maximum Ride, Septimus Heap, Harry Potter, Inkheart, Edge, Bartimaeus, Overland, aaaaand Eragon series'. I'm probably missing some, but I think that's enough for now. Hm... Well, my favorite flavor of ice cream is definitely chocolate moose tracks!!!! I take dance classes (tap, jazz, ballet, pointe, lyrical) and I used to play soccer until this stupid thing that happened with my toes (they turn blue in the cold). I think that's about it!

Hey Miniauthor, welcome to YWS!

I just read the post above aaaaaand.... I love Harry Potter and Maximum Ride too! They are my absolute favorite books ever. Check out the Groups if you haven't already because there are about a million, (I know there's one for HP because I'm in it, but I don't think there's a Max one. There are a lot of fantasy ones though), so go ahead and pick as many as you want to join. They're a great way to make friends.
I'm not a big fantasy person myself, (typically if there is a map of some mythical world in the front, I don't do to well reading it) but I've read the first two books in the Inkheart trilogy, (I like 'em), I read the first two of Bartimeaus and had to stop, (they are just not for me), and I read the first of the Eragon trilogy(?), that wasn't for me either.
Chocolate moose tracks ice cream sounds absolutely divine. I think I've had just regular moose tracks before, but chocolate...
Your toes turn blue in the cold . My feet and toes are pretty much always cold, but I don't think they've ever turned completely blue...

So....now for some really hard questions of my own for you....
What kind of music do you listen to? If you could meet any author and ask them anything you wanted for an hour, who would you meet? What's your baked good of choice? What's your favorite kind of berry? If you were a shoe, what kind of shoe would you be and why? If you were a marine biologist, what animal would you study and why?

Hi, thanks for the greeting and wanting to know more about me! Hm... tricky questions though. Let's see...

music-wise, I listen mostly to christian soft rock (ever heard of Barlowgirl or Relient K?) but I'll pretty much listen to anything that isn't screamo or classical.

If I could meet an author I would have to go with... Christopher Paolini, the author of the Eragon series. They're not my all-time favorite, in fact I only [i]really[/i] liked the first one, but I would just want to ask what it takes to get your book published so young.

The baked good of my choice is either cookie dough brownies or spice cake. Theyr'e both AMAZING, even though I'm a huge fan of chocolate, spice cake is just so gooooood!

Anyway, my favorite kind of berry is a golden raspberry, which is sweeter than regular red ones.

Um, let's see, if I was a shoe I would be a polka-dot pair of fuzzy slippers! (I love slippers)

If I was a marine biologist, I would have to say I would study dolphins. They're just so playful they almost seem human, and I think they're awesome!

Aaaaand I think that's everything!
