This is a poem i wrote about a girl with cancer a few days ago
The drills hummed a solid tune
and the needle struck
my mood was dark and lonely
just my very luck
My thick curls fell out
and i cried in pain
I felt all alone
and felt this was a game
For months I was sick
For months I wished to die
the only way to get to sleep
was to think and cry
No one felt my silent agony
or head heard my silent plea's
no one asked if I was ok
and my parents were oversea's
Just when it all stopped
and i felt fine again
they dragged me into darkness
an all to familiar lane
The walls that became my home
were plain sickening white
even through my screams
I hoped it would be alright
Finally I saw my parents
then gone the next day
And as the years went by
I slowly faded away
My sister came to see me
and bought me lots of games
but i could not be cheered up
through my dark pain
Soon the day had come
and i lay in bed
slowly i breathed deeply
and rested back my head
my family was around me
and i felt a blow
they gave tight smiles
and i knew it was time to go
I slowly sat back
and then closed my eyes
Then i spread my wings
and took forth to the skies
