Gingivere :: Animal Fiction Author

Hi, I'm Gingivere, but you can call me Gingi. I'm an animal fiction writer (I write anthromorphic, realistic, and fantasy) and love reading books like Redwall, Warriors, Guardians of Ga'Hoole, Chronicles of Narnia, and Wind in the Willows (the Willows in Winter). I am in the intermediate-advanced writing level, and though my main skill is animal fiction, I do branch out and write human/animal stories, fantasy human stories, etc.

I am thirteen (or at least I will be tommorow, tis my birthday then), in 8th grade, I'm spunky, somewhat insane, love otters, cats, dogs, ferrets, horses, badgers, weasels, meerkats, hares... just about every animal in general... I'm thinking of becoming a veterinarian. I've based many stories off my experiences with animals in real life, stories about my pets, and just stories that appear in my head.

Welcome to the site I critiqued your first post, actually! Very nice work, for a 13 year old! I'm surprised your so young, the writing wasn't that bad (I was gruesome at 13...)

Hey Gingivere, and welcome to the site. That's an interesting little niche you've settled into. I've thought of a couple stories like that myself, though not many. I'm interested to see just how you handle it, as compared to myself. I'll see if I can't get to your work tonight, college homework and mandatory personal time permitting. Again, welcome.

P.S.
A little advice, have patience. Always good. Be active in any way you can. Helpful critiques will eventually come, and until that time, keep writing. Writing is something you learn mostly by doing, advice from others just speeds up the process. And there are many good critiquers here. Trust me, as long as you follow the golden rule, you'll be just fine here.

Definatly. Mossflower was one of my favorite Redwall books, and I've always loved Gingivere and Tsarmina.

Welcome! Ooo...thats pretty cool that you love writing about animals. I'm never really good with that type of genre. I read the Redwall books too; Brian Jacques does a phenomenal job. My favorites were Mossflower and The Long Patrol. He always did a fantastic job with descriptions of everything and I could picture the world vividly in my head. I will have to read some of your stories, I bet they're awesome, see you around!

I love animals, too. I read the first two Redwall books in 5th grade or something... They were quite good, but I never got obsessed.

Sounds like we have a lot in common.
I've also thought about trying to become a veterinarion, but I'm not sur eif that's what I want to do yet. I have also thought about becoming a national park ranger, or a field biologist. Anyway, I can't wait to read some of your posts, cus I love writing and reading animal fiction.
