Hey! A new member here, who has NO IDEA WHAT SHE'S DOING!!!

I joined maybe an hour ago, and I'm ecstatic. At last, a writing site with friendly people! I've spent the past several minutes pushing random buttons, and reading poetry. What a refreshing change! You've got wonderful pieces here!

I've got a few scraps of poetry I'd like to post, but I'm having a bit of trouble... I am an electronic ignoramous. I'd love to hear from anybody!

A reply to Claudette's question: I DO write fiction. (Sorry I couldn't reply to that earlier, I had to leave)

I write fantasy... in a way. I don't go in for much dark magic or sorcery. I'm more the light fantasy type. 'Ella Enchanted' and 'Narnia' are some of my favorites.

Currently, I'm revising my novel, called 'Himdil.' I finished it in January. It's my first novel, but certainly NOT my last! Later, when I've got time, I intend to post the prologue here. It is in poetry form... I'm afraid I'm one of those terribly old-fashioned people, who still enjoy rhyming poetry. I've posted my first poem here already, called 'Monsters Under My Bed,' It's just a silly thing...

Oh, wow. Did you write an epic poem (like Paradise Lost) or a novel-in-poems (like Jinx or sommat)?

Have you read the Weetzie Bat books? They're not so much high fantasy like Narnia, but they're really sweet. (Sweet like sugar and sweet like awesome.)

In response to a previous question, I worded my statement badly. (What a surprise!) What I meant to say was, the prologue to my book is in poetry form, not the entire thing. I'm not THAT good!
