alliyah tries to find chickens

Have been enjoying bird watching lately - so going to share some pictures! And maybe eventually get back into bird doodles too. It's on my list.

I've seen plenty of goldfinches before, but never in my garden and never precariously balancing on my flowers! Ah! Sunshine in bird-form!

Washing dishes... looked outside to see 1 bluejay in our bird bath, went to get my phone, when I got back there were 2, took a quick pick, and then there were 3!! Didn't get a picture of all 3 and all of these are obviously through a screen window so @_@ not very good, but when do you ever see THREE bluejays all at once?

And here's some cardinals I saw earlier this summer too from outside my home.

These are so wonderful! I actually love the lines going across the first "bluejays." In "cardinal on a powerline," he fits right in that negative shape from the tree! :0

@Wolfi thank you! And yeah, I love how that cardinal is almost outlined by the light like that! Here is another cardinal I spotted at my church this week. I love seeing them.

turns out hummingbirds are a LOT less majestic looking when they are staying still, but how are you supposed to get a good picture of them when they are moving? xD I love them though! These two pics were taken at my in-laws house. Both of these photos have the sharpness turned way up because they were quite blurry as is, but still fun to see this little guy.

Today I saw 3 goldfinches outside! <333 2 males, and 1 female. This time on my yellow flowers. Here's a couple pictures!

My mom's visiting me this week, so we made some salsa - which called for a visit to the farm supplies store, to get a big kettle. Then we went on a hike at a giant park, and the lady at the front desk in seeing that I was wearing a chicken shirt advised, "I see you have a chicken shirt... if you like chickens, be sure to continue after the trail to reach the farm, there's chickens there you can meet." - so of course we had to go meet them!
