Maybe not everyone's napo vibe, but I think you could make it work.

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you.
I do not give to you as the world gives.
Do not let your hearts be troubled
and do not be afraid.

We are ONLY 325 jam jars away from April people, it is time to get cooking.

@FireEyes wrote:crashing tf out because we have no parmesan in the house and I JUST WANNA MAKE PASTA

poems about pasta rage. the absence of parmesan. the aching longing of the heart's song.

@Ranger wrote:so you may be strong and resilient to all that may come

link Poetry of Resilience for Tomorrow. AHHH! love that.

Also this status from Ranger needs to be a poem or a novel beginning.

Ranger wrote:Really wanting to pack a backpack full of shelf stable cheese, crackers, summer sausage, and apples and go out on an adventure.

Am I the only one who thinks this has NaPo potential? (poetential if you will!) - philosophy of identity and hamsters.

dreams that don't come true, the un-ending pursuit for perfection, longings from a life I can't live right now... moody-napo vibes, ice-cream napo vibes ...

speaking of @winterwolf0100, one of my fav lines by them:

I inhabit a land once walked by giants.

some other winter gems:
I am a guitar.

KANOOSH!

The second one in particular seems as if it could signal a whimsical NaPo =P

This too gave me major nostalgia and napo vibes...

@Leya wrote:I think we write because we lose memory eventually. Faces will blur, voices fade, and our deepest joys begin to slowly dissipate. I know I personally try to preserve moments - hoping that if I choose the right words, they might outlive the people, places, and versions of myself that no longer exist. Writing is my way of fighting back.

It cannot stop time, but it can leave footprints where our lives once passed.

Maybe the thread's name could be "I cannot stop time, but here are the footprints where our lives once passed." ...

We've got some poetry gems today...

@Silvern wrote:Hey all! I don't know who needs to hear this, but don't swallow an entire handful of fennel seeds on an impulse. This may seem obvious, but it somehow wasn't to me at the time. It was like chewing on a dried lavender and deconstructed pine branch hybrid that was utterly indifferent to my existence, and maybe even thought I was the one to blame for its harvesting. The dissonance was almost unbearable, and I couldn't and still can't decide whether I liked it or not. I realize I'm probably making a lot of you very curious to try it, but like... don't. Some flavors are not meant to be known.

^^ This one has so many gems for poetry about pain and things that are better left unknown / potential napo titles.

"don't swallow an entire handful of fennel seeds on an impulse"

"Some flavors are not meant to be known"

"a dried lavender and deconstructed pine branch hybrid: (unbearable dissonance)"

---

This too feels like the index of a weird poetry chapbook... poetry and knee-caps, poetry about bug bites and other wounds, poetry about promises and I swear I will wear socks with these shoes next time.

@soundofmind wrote:Current state of my legs:
- blisters on the back of both ankles from unbroken shoes
- rope burn behind my knee from a dog almost clothes-lining me with her leash
- thick scab on my foot where a chunk of skin was taken by a rocky pool floor
- one mosquito bite
- bruises of unidentifiable sourcing

drowning in something delicious... having too much of something that you cannot appreciate and simultaneously ruining it for others who would've appreciated it... coffee... many such poetic thoughts
