The settings dashboard has been almost completely overhauled, borrowing a design philosophy from Laravel's Nova. Laravel is a popular PHP framework, and Nova is an administration dashboard for Laravel.
The biggest changes are...
Private Messages
Should be a little easier to navigate, and a quick reply button was added for PMs.
Like History
View likes you've given, and likes you've received.
Totally revamped Portfolio management
This is the biggest change. It should be much, much easier to manage your portfolio from the settings dashboard. Want to re-order? Just drag and drop. Need to quickly edit something? Just click on "Options". It is so, so much easier than the current portfolio management.
At some point, this will replace the current Publishing Center. The blocker at this point is just adding new works. Once that's figured out, the Publishing Center will be swapped out with the Portfolio area of the settings dashboard.
Seriously, go check it out. The portfolio management area has been in the works for years.

Quick Note on Design Philosophy
So far, the biggest question I've seen regarding the settings dashboard is whether the design will extent to the rest of YWS. Honestly... probably not.
I'm treating the settings dashboard as a special area of YWS. It should look different because it is different: it's the area that affects how you use and see YWS. Also, expanding that same design to the rest of YWS just isn't possible without totally rewriting everything.
That being said, when an area of the site is rewritten, it will borrow the same design philosophy as the settings dashboard.
