Evergreens and Their Leaves

As ye wind blows by ye olden trees
As ye greens go down as fallen leaves
As these ol’ man’s boots remain on here
I will sing of ye ol’ tales near

As cold wind blows on evergreens
I will stand with you under ebony
With this flag with stripes for colonies
I will sing with you ye ol’ songs dear

Asdashdajskfg the sound of leaves rustling
Evergreens and their forever greening
I show to you gleefully
Hoping they’ll last an eternity

That One Teal Retro Car

With a teal worn down paint job
And a retrofitted window
Engines full of compromise
What a retro old car we’ve got
Let’s go on a road trip down the I90
Navigate the constellations made of concrete
Coast to coast this car’ll suffice
Ol’ reliable this thing can be
With a little care it can outlast me
Sure things take more time when with retro
But the control is yours if you go old school

Pool

POV 1
On a clear hot day
Who are you to be so deceptive?
Why do people play in you?
Despite what people say
I still think of all the germs,
Dead skin cells, and bodily fluids
That we all produce
That chlorine isn’t enough to clean

POV 2
On a clear hot day
Who are you to be so alluring?
Why do people play in you?
Despite what people say
I still think of all the fun,
Memories of bygone summers
Spent playing in water
That glows in setting sunlight

Cerulean Skies

Work is so boring; mundane
When will I get to go home?
Coworkers share with me; inhumane
Is the work we do, our enthusiasm gone

Working for just a salary
That gets us by just barely
Tired with coffee as fuel; weary
Even the sky is gray outside; a melancholy

Yet on weekends I waste
Time so valuable on things requiring no haste
I fill my heart with liquor which goes to my waist
And binge on a screen of lights and haze

But even looking once towards the other screen
A screen to the outside world with windows clean
Staring through will reveal a sky
That had always been cerulean and had always been mine

Sapphire Eyes

Oh you’re so perfect
Your dance and it’s effect
You captivate and lure with your voice
With your charm you attract all the boys

Those blue eyes filled with love
That’s made of lies and deceit to fool
An idol made like dolls in a factory
You dance to heal souls yet
Your own soul is left empty without life

“Gaze into my eyes,
Fall for me harder and harder
Validate my feelings fragile as they may be
Validate my purpose as useless as it may be”

You scream into an endless void
Seeking superficial validation and love
But you don’t need to do such a thing
Your sapphire eyes alone
I know are full of genuine emotions

Dreams and Stars in a City

As the bewitching fog of midnight darkness draws near,
And stars grow dimmer in the density of lamps,
On streets of memories I hold dear,
I stand out in my balcony with wind blowing as I peer,
Out into the sky, as the rain slowly damps.

As raindrops fall and dripple on my hair,
The scent of lavender haze rises from streets below.
I stare at the streaks of water thin and fair,
On the window illuminated by lights over there,
It was at this moment, I stared at the purple rain I'll soon know.

The city may be full of hopes and dreams,
But it's also filled with coldness and darkness,
The loneliness into me seeps it seems,
the fog drowses me as I stare into stars of lights and gleams,
And the purple rain soaks me in the polluted darkness,
Of a city of a million.

Spoiler
I really absolutely love the idea of using colors of the rainbow to inspire poetry. And having all the colors laid out ahead of time. Really creative!
purble rain :,( everyone should write a poem about that,
Seriously though the imagery in that poem really hits!

And the idea of Cerulean Skies is one I have also been poeting about and considering but I really liked your representation of it!
Keep it up!
that the powerful play goes on
And you may contribute a verse

If you ever need to talk I am here for you<3

Royal Violets

High are thee!
The king of kings of eternity!
Fields of flowers and forests of trees;
They all bow in front of ye;
My royal highness of violet creed.
Violent hues of violet decree;
We all obey the rules for the free!
Good citizens of this kingdom of he;
Giving all resources and acting must we!

Translation (wip):
Spoiler

1) The world; it’s black and white.
That’s the reality for you and me,
But this world bickerst as if
The road only goes left and right.

2) Soredemo anata wa
Minna no naka kara

2) Even then, you find
The goodness that exists
Inside of everyone’s hearts
You’re the reason I have hope to this world
You’re the light that shines in darkness

3) Gipeum seulpeum sokeseo neowa
Jinae-on naldeuri ddeo-ollawa
Heukbaekin sesangira saenggakhan na-egen marya
Aryeonhadeut jigeumi sarajyeogagoitne
Yeongwonhal jul aratdeon uri-eui sukmyeonggwa

3) Those days inside deep melancholy
That I spent with you surface again
To me who thinks of the world as black and white
The present is fading like a distant memory
Along with our fate i thought of as eternity

4) But like you, who sees the good in the bad,
Instead of seeing black and white,
Ill see things as more gray.
And one day, maybe as colorful,
As the spectrum of the rainbow.

I... Finished?

Spoiler
Well, technically yes, but what fun is it to end it here?
From THIS point, all the rest of the poems I'm writing are gonna be based off of MULTIPLE colors instead of one. Kind of think of Vermillion Sunset as a reference.
Y'know, it's nice to stick to a theme. But do you know what's nicer? complete chaos and absolute color whiplash with the full rainbow spectrum being painted all around in sequences close to a pendulum swinging in 150mph wind!

That Rainbow I Drew in MyChildhood

Messy and weird
Out of the line I drew with my cra y o ns
Without meaning put into anything
Ah what a simple time it was wasn’t it
Fl a w s imp er f e c t were the biggest
Things that I loved back then
However with that innocence gone
And my grown up self
Living a life less saturated than the life I lived before…
Whatever shall I do
To regain that childhood innocence?
I don’t even know what I can do
If only I can be that careless again
Free of the knowledge of this dark and corrupt world
And back to drawing rainbows that aren’t political
And smiles that were meant for nobody but
Just for me
If only I could go back to a time before I realized what life truly is
A cog in a wheel called society that’s treated ever so poorly
Only if my worries would reach a ceiling at
Whether my toy plushie would come to life or not
Or if I had been a good boy and presents would come for me on Christmas Eve
These pictures I drew in my childhood
Once proudly hanged up on refrigerator walls
With magnets covering the cheap crayon ink
Those very drawings are now gone
Hidden somewhere deep inside a cobwebbed attic
Where nothing but fond memories lurk and dwell
The world needs more sparkles
