I KNEW

Genre Realistic, dark mystery

In a snapshot (very rough, still working on this)
Spoiler
On a trip to his apartment late at night, Jed witnesses a black sedan drive off the winding country road and collide into the darkness at the roadside. A teenage boy is revealed as the driver, and a seemingly unrelated child no older than two the passenger.

Compelled by a sense of duty toward the family of the two survivors, Jed makes a visit to the hospital where the driver from the previous night's accident is recovering. Something instantly strikes Jed as oddly familiar about the boy's features, but he cannot recall having seen the stranger before. In an attempt to discover where he knew this stranger from, Jed offers to take him home from the hospital, unknowingly planning the first event to set off a spiral of challenging encounters through which he develops an edgy friendship with the overly sensitive crash survivor.

As filled with underlying complications as their friendship is, it deepens with the meeting of a man suspiciously eager to expose the weaker sides of the crash survivor as if to try to separate the two. While the boy proclaims his undying fidelity to the man, Jed sees beyond the words meant to ease the growing shame at work within the teenager's mind. Driven by a desire to help the boy, Jed begins to actively clip away at the close-knit lies the adolescent spins around himself in a coil of maladaptive protection to defend his inner self from having to face the cruel reality his situation with this man has created.

Goals!
As a rule, I must always have 3 goals so here goes!!
1. Complete the aftermath accident scene
2. Do not cheat and read previous scenes unless a reference is needed. These scenes need to simmer on their own for a while.
3. Begin work on the hospital scene again.

Okay...let's get into the updates, shall we?
Goal 1: I'm actually momentarily abandoning that scene to work again on the hospital scene to hopefully figure out better what needs to go into the aftermath scene.
Goal 2: it was tempting, but I have kept those documents CLOSED
Goal 3: That's what I'm working on now. I worked on a draft yesterday, scraped it, and am going to trial a new version sometime today.

MY STUBBORNNESS PERSISTS!

Update time!
Goal 1: I worked on it again. It's going somewhere, I just need to make the sheriff less grumpy cuz he's quite a Grinch how I've got him written now.

Goal 2: Untouched to this day!!

Goal 3: I have been planning and doing a little work on this.

The final wrapup!
Goal 1: Well, I finished that scene but I need another to squeeze in there and the original scene needs some major editing...I don't know if that's a win or a loss with this goal.

Goal 2: Weird to think that I have not looked over those scenes in an entire month!!

Goal 3: I worked on it until I got burnt out.

I have to ask. Does every question or statement regarding the quote generator end up in the quote generator?
