Sure thing! It's basically what Noah said—it's when a group of things with negative energy (demonic energy, dark magic, ghosts, etc.) all swarm around a specific thing or place and keep dragging more things in. The best way to describe it is like something along the lines of an ant nest. You don't have any problems before a nest is made, but then you keep running into ants until you take care of the nest.

Basically, it's an excuse for weird horror things to happen in this roleplay. Getting to the root of the infestation just involves us ramping things up for our characters so they have more spooky things to work through.

Oooh...that sounds like it'll be pretty fun...not for poor Susan though

What kind of frights did you have in mind? All I was planning was that things would get worse closer to the root, so I'm pretty much down for anything!

how about this-- the hallways start getting REALLY red to the point where not only the floor tiles are red, but the WALLS and the ceiling are red too.

then, there's a section that's mysteriously blue, and then . . . okay pls dont laugh, but ive had this idea for a while.

like maybe a handle or a keyhole or doorknob or something on the wall that talks, and either u have to answer a riddle or maybe a physical challenge to get past

Hmm...I dunno if a riddle would be ghostly...but I'd be down for that. And what sort of physical challenges are you thinking of?
