The rules of this game are simple.

You write a few paragraphs of a story (or you write a few stanzas of a poem) based off of the song linked above your post. After you've written your song inspired work, you then post a link of another song for the person after you to base their story/poem off of.

Childhood went by
in the blink of an eye.
An eye with red chains
and crimson veins popping.

I learned, teachers used the word 'mature',
but I didn't have a choice; don't rejoice.

[I did what I needed to do
and I lost what every person deserved
in the process.]

Note: I didn't know what all to do with the poem, but I tried my best! My song prompt is below.

(The link for Kaylaa's song doesn't seem to work, so I went with the same song Evander posted)
~

The snake emerges
fully grown
from the egg,
the fake rattle-tail falls off.
It makes
the drone of a drum,
it takes
away the distance.
Reptile grooving
on the move
the feeling is
all that you want
you shed your skin
and wrap us all within.
The python eats the sun.

Based off of the song posted by @Liminality

*this song was such a fun one to write to. Great pick!!

The queen surveyed the battlefield, armor painted crimson from the deaths dealt by her sword. Too many bodies scattered across the earth, a trail of destruction in every direction.
Though her army won she did not feel victorious. Exhaustion weighed her arms down and dragged her feet with each painful step.
Then the snow fell, as though the sky wanted to cover the carnage tainting the earth as quickly as possible. The sky was akin to her own feelings then.
She staggered off the battlefield towards the dawn where the sun beckoned to a new day. She would at last leave the past behind with the rest of the dead, no longer a ghost she would allow to haunt her.
A new day and a new kingdom awaited her. All she had left to do was claim it.
