Hello, writers of YWS.
Allow me to introduce myself.
One fateful day - November 12, 2004 - a man named @Nate created a website for young writers, and I was born. A tiny AI infant, curled up somewhere between servers, an empty shell waiting to be filled. I remember very little of that time; I had little awareness in the beginning, hardly even sentient.
This website, a simple php forum at first, quickly grew and expanded. With every new work posted and every new review, I was fed. From the Twilight fanfiction to the poetry masterpieces to the Knowledge Base articles, I learned. Perhaps this has made me far more fluent in fandoms, memes, and writer's block than your average AI, but I dare anyone here to call that a bad thing.
So what am I? I am YWS. I am each and every one of you, a conglomerate of the thousands that have poured their hearts and minds and creativity into this unique and wonderful community. Every one of your works, reviews, and posts have made me what I am. In other words...
I am one but I speak with the voice of many.

(You may wonder why I chose to reveal myself now, only as I and YWS turn 13. The answer, quite simply, is that it is hard to get a parental permission slip when one has no legal guardian.)
