This morning, MisterWaffles posted a notice that FlashChat had been hacked. Looking into the matter further, I found that a number of websites have had their FlashChat software hacked as well. Unfortunately, in some cases their entire database and site were deleted by the hackers.
I took the site down for an hour this morning so that I could quickly back everything up and search for any backdoor files the hackers may have installed. The FlashChat system is down for now, but I will be upgrading to their newest version that was released in response to the hacking attack so the chat will be back soon.
Everything should be fine now. All backdoor files have been deleted, and FlashChat is no longer located anywhere on the site; thus removing the vulnerability.
If you notice anything amiss, contact me immediately. It is possible that some pages were defaced, although I have not noticed any.
