Alright guys, I'm jumping on the bandwagon here. Here are my answers to the survey:

1.) How did you discover YWS in the first place?
Gee, I think I was bored one day at school and I was searching on the internet for writing websites. YWS popped up and from that moment on I spent every one of my free periods on this site.

2.) When did you discover that you like or appreciate writing?
Well that would have to be at the ripe old age of five. No lie. I used to write little books that I would illustrate and bring into school for show and tell. They were the cutest things ever! I still have a bunch of them in my room.

3.) What is the title, form and genre of the first piece you posted at YWS?
Story of a Teenage Thief. It's a short story (please don't go read it, it's horrible and I haven't gone back to fix it :O). I don't remember what genre it was, but it doesn't really matter 'cause I'm just going to forget it exists until I feel brave enough to go back and fix it.

4.) Do you have a YWS nickname?
Does it count if my username is a nickname in its own??

5.) Have you ever been banned in the forums or in chat?
Nope! I'm a good person, always following the rules :D

6.) What genre of literature do you detest the most?
ROMANCE! Ugh, I hate it. I mean, I know it's good to add into stories and novels because everyone likes a good love story! But I just can't stand it. I'm not a romantic person to begin with, so reading about someone else falling in love is just boring and gross to me.

7.) How long have you been in YWS?
Um...I just had my two year anniversary. And when I say I just had it, I mean it happened seven months ago.

8.) How many workshops and contests have you participated in at YWS?
Only two. I never did any workshops because I'm lazy, but I did enter two contests. I won second or third place in one of them and didn't place in the other.

9.) Who have been your greatest influences here?
I'd have to say everyone. For real, everyone I've run into on this site has been great and supportive. Y'all are the best!

10.) What is your most favorite section in the forums?
The literary section? I don't really spend much time doing anything except for reading, reviewing, and posting my own stuff. Maybe I should start visiting the other forums...

11.) Do you remember the first person you've met here? Who?
Not really sure, but the one person who sticks out in my mind is Dragonet. I think she's changed her username and got a new account by now, but that was her username when I met her. I used to join all of the storybooks and she was usually a part of them or she created them.

12.) What was your worst writer's block?
All of it? Although I'd have to say my worst writer's block was the week and a half during my first year of NaNo (which I failed at miserably) that I just couldn't write anything. It was horrible.

13.) Have you or your works been featured? Do you want to?
Nope. I think it would be cool to be featured, but of course I'd have to work hard for that. I'm trying! Maybe I'll get there one day. :)

14.) What is the best work you've read here and why? A link would do!
Gosh, this is like asking me what my favorite flavor of ice cream is! And my answer to that is all of them! Anyway, I've read some really great works here on the site. I can't pick just one to tell you about.

15.) Have you met somebody in YWS in real life?
I wish.

16.) Have you tried reading an article in Squills or Writing Gooder?
No. What's that? I'll have to check it out.

17.) How many storybooks have you been in?
Too many to count? I don't really remember.

18.) What book would you like to recommend the most to YWSers?
I just read this really good book called Switched by Amanda Hocking. It's the first book in a trilogy, but it was so good that I read it in three hours. Seriously, go read it. It's good.

19.) Have you used the foes feature when it was available in your profile settings?
Definitely not! I don't even know why it was there really.

20.) What do you think is the best thing YWS have done to you?
It's taught me how to become a better writer. I have grown so much as a writer since joining this site. It's brought out the best of me. I do want to yell at it for making me procrastinate my homework. YWS is just so much better than doing homework.

1.) How did you discover YWS in the first place?

An old friend of mine joined the website and told me and my friends about it. I planned to join but forgot about it, until two months later when I ran across the site by chance whilst web-surfing. I had a vague memory of my friend telling me about a writing website, but it wasn't until a couple of months after I joined YWS that I realized YWS was the website she had been telling me about four months earlier... Spooky, I know. O.o

2.) When did you discover that you like or appreciate writing?

I've been writing stories since I was young but the first time that I really started to appreciate what it gave me was a few months after my parents separated. I sat down one day and started writing, I couldn't believe how life changing it was for me and it gradually turned into my own little therapy.

3.) What is the title, form and genre of the first piece you posted at YWS?

Lets see, I believe it's this one here Devil | Poetry | General, Dramatic

4.) Do you have a YWS nickname?

Haha! Who doesn't? EP, Dreaming Person, Dreamy, Enchant, PANDA, Enchanted, EncPan. (:

5.) Have you ever been banned in the forums or in chat?

Nope. :D

6.) What genre of literature do you detest the most?

Probably Fan Fiction. I find it annoying how people take something and warping it into something of their own creation. I just find it so lacking in originality and I wish people would use that energy to create something truly original than just ripping something else off.

7.) How long have you been in YWS?

Since July, 2011 ;)

8.) How many workshops and contests have you participated in at YWS?

Ohhh, not sure? Probably about ten but I don't know really. I haven't really done many workshops but I went through a phase of doing lots of contests at one point. It's one of my YWS goals to try and get involved with workshops more often.

9.) Who have been your greatest influences here?

That's too hard. I love everyone here. There' something I admire in almost everyone on this site. Every single person is so just so awesome *squishes everyone* <3333

10.) What is your most favorite section in the forums?

The Lounge? I love coming on here and just being able to talk to different people about random stuff, there's usually something cool happening here. The Lounge is where it's at, people!

11.) Do you remember the first person you've met here? Who?

TheNewHero? I remember them introducing me to the site and showing me around the forums. My first follower was LadyPurple I think, I remember that because she had the cutest kitty avatar ever at the time.

12.) What was your worst writer's block?

Probably sometime last year. I don't think I ever really picked up a pen all through the first nine months of the year. That was half due to the fact that I was busy with life and stuff, but also because I never felt inspired or motivated to write at all.

13.) Have you or your works been featured? Do you want to?

I've never been featured before, but one of my works has. And yes, I would love to have any of those happen to me, it's a great feeling.

14.) What is the best work you've read here and why? A link would do!

Not sure, there's too many good ones to choose. Wouldn't be able to decide even if I wanted to.

15.) Have you met somebody in YWS in real life?

Some of my friends were on YWS but sadly they don't come one here anymore.

16.) Have you tried reading an article in Squills or Writing Gooder?

Yes, quite often I browse Squills and Writing Gooder. I don't usually respond to the articles though so that's probably why no one knows that I really read them.

17.) How many storybooks have you been in?

Not sure. I haven't really joined many lately, but in the past I was in up to as many as 7 or 8 at a time.

18.) What book would you like to recommend the most to YWSers?

"The Fault In Our Stars"- John Green. Just an all around brilliant book, it actually made me cry.

19.) Have you used the foes feature when it was available in your profile settings

Haha, nah >.<

20.) What do you think is the best thing YWS have done to you?

Friends, Advice, Good Times, Writing.

Easter Eggs Dare: Answer at your own risk!

What writer hasn't?

4.) For you, what's the least favorable forum/section here?

None. I love them all. <3333

1.) How did you discover YWS in the first place?
My brothers, Kyte (now Stori), Yagaron, and FireLight sparked my interest. I, in my 8-year-old naivety, was so very eager to, "Join chat!!" Four days before my 10th birthday, I joined. And then I learned how much more awesome stuff there is on YWS than chat.

2.) When did you discover that you like or appreciate writing?
Always.

3.) What is the title, form and genre of the first piece you posted at YWS?
Oh, golly.... Do you realize how very long ago that was?! Yay for archives, though! I dare not post the FIRST thing I posted on here... But, here is the THIRD thing I posted on YWS. Darkness.

4.) Do you have a YWS nickname?
Um, Bongoes! And various shortenings of my name. And The Scratt.

5.) Have you ever been banned in the forums or in chat?
Ashamed to admit yes... I did some pretty stupid things, which I now regret.

6.) What genre of literature do you detest the most?
Anything I write. :P (Just kidding... I'd have to say Romance.)

7.) How long have you been in YWS?
Since April 24th, 2006. (My profile denies that, but it's true.) So, going on seven years now. o_O

8.) How many workshops and contests have you participated in at YWS?
Many contests, but no workshops.

9.) Who have been your greatest influences here?
Everyone, pretty much. Special shout-out to Rosey Unicorn, Nate, Mesh, Kitty15 (Rydia), and Gladius.

Anything except Romance.

11.) Do you remember the first person you've met here? Who?
Yes; Conrad Rice, that dear fellow... I miss him.

12.) What was your worst writer's block?
My life.

13.) Have you or your works been featured? Do you want to?
Heck no! Do I want to? I suppose it would be nice, but to be featured or to have your works featured, you and your works have to be outstanding. (Neither of which I fall under.)

14.) What is the best work you've read here and why? A link would do!
Oh, I don't know... I'll just say "Wings of Darkness", by Gladius.

15.) Have you met somebody in YWS in real life?
Do my siblings and those I invited count?

16.) Have you tried reading an article in Squills or Writing Gooder?
Nope.

17.) How many storybooks have you been in?
A couple.

18.) What book would you like to recommend the most to YWSers?
The Bible. =) Also, The Lord of the RIngs series (including the Hobbit!) And The Chronicles of Narnia....

19.) Have you used the foes feature when it was available in your profile settings?
Nope.

20.) What do you think is the best thing YWS have done to you?
Taught me not to be a stuck-up little brat, and that my writing is terrible. :P

I always knew that deep down in every human heart, there is mercy and generosity. No one is born hating another person because of the color of his skin, or his background, or his religion. People must learn to hate, and if they can learn to hate, they can be taught to love, for love comes more naturally to the human heart than its opposite.
— Nelson Mandela, Long Walk to Freedom
