I walked in the door about 10 minutes early to my first hour short stories class. My teacher sees me and yells out the following. "BEN! I have a story for you. I was grading your short story on Sunday, and all of the sudden my family hears me yell 'DAMNIT BEN.' they all stopped what they were doing to ask me what was wrong. I read your story and it was so good I googled it to see if it was actually yours. I found it online and it took me a while to realize that you were the one who posted it!"
I'm paraphrasing a bit, but that's probably one of the best compliments/worst insults I've received on something I wrote. I really don't know how to feel. On one hand, She enjoyed it. On the other hand, she didn't think I could write something like that. D:
So, YWS, what's the best/most interesting remark an instructor has ever left on your work before?
