Jay

A scream fills the darkness, echoes of the bare walls. It wrenches my heart. Pain. . . Who's screaming?

With a jolt I realized it's me.

Sitting up, I stop and put a hand to my throat. The screaming took a toll on it; I havn't used it in a while. I think back to the nightmare. Why should I need to use it?

I clench the fist that isn't around my throat to find there's a dagger in it. I pull the blade closer to my face. J. I blink. My other hand flies to my chest until a grasp something. My dog-tags. I bring those closer to my face and see one had a cross, the other has a J as well. That's me. I realize slightly startled.

I look around the place where I am. How did I get here? With calm eyes I take in the darkness, the walls, the tunels. I stand, wobbling at first but am able to keep myself up without the use of the wall.

A small spark of fear appears in my stomach. I look down, as if to stare the fear away. It's not disabling; I just don't like the way it feels.

I start walking, having no idea where I'm going. Is there some one else down here? After I few feet I growl quietly in fustration. The fear won't leave.

"I walk a lonely road
The only one that I have ever known
Don't know where it goes
But It's home to me and I walk alone
"

The lines sound familiar, like I've heard them often. The sound of the voice is quiet but soothing. After a few seconds I realize the singing is me too. I must talk so little that I surprise even myself.

I keep singing as I pass many tunnels, all of which are empty.

"I walk this empty street
On the Boulevard of broken dreams
When the city sleeps
And I'm the only one and I walk alone
"

I freeze. There's a figure down one of the tunnels. Did they just move?

Pausing for only another second, I slowly walk up to the person. I kneel beside them, looking to see if they're still alive. I blink as I see them breathing.

Looking closer I see it's a girl, maybe my age. One of her hands is clutching something around her neck. A cross?

As I'm wondering she opens her eyes.

I gasped as I plunged from the abysmal realms of sleep, shocked by the overwhelming sense of reality. Every movement seemed to send a jolt of electricity into my muscles, although that phenomenon soon tracelessly vanished as my mind became accustomed to actuality. I remained lying on the cold floor for perhaps another two minutes before my ears registered the sounds of human activity, and then voices.

I rose unstably, clutching at my overcoat, and looked around myself. The darkness was dominant... I shivered. I could feel a presence behind me, hear someone breathing, and had the illogical fear that the pursuer from my nightmare was in fact a being grounded in reality, awaiting to unhinge the workings of my mind and eat me piece by piece. Conquering this hapless paranoia, I turned to behold a human figure lying on the ground, apparently asleep.

There was not much illumination, but I was able to discern a corner, and slowly walked towards it. I walked past two other humanoid shapes positioned on the ground, avoiding them indiscriminately. I did not feel confortable confronting anyone.

I tried to recall the events which preceeded my previous dream, but in vain. I realized that I could remember almost nothing of my life, which both fascinated me and gave rise to a series of fears for my safely. I seemed aware of what I have learned at school (if I attended such a place) and other areas, my knowledge of the world mercifuly undminished, but barely able to recall my name (which came to me after ten seconds of intense reflection). A strange name; I could not help but wonder.

Positioning my back against the corner which I reached, my hand brushed against the vague outline of some object in the pocket of my coat, and I produced a knife, to my surprise. The letter 'S' was engraved into the hilt, which made me consider the possibility of it being mine. I quickly hid the blade as a precaution. If asked, I would not lie, but it was not imperative for others to be aware of my weapon.

I clasped my hands together, and blinked as I discovered the uneven thing which seemed to be on my right palm. I carefully took off my glove, and almost screamed when I beheld the eye which was positioned there. Horrified, I turned my gaze away, biting slightly at the inside of my mouth. I began to tremble.

I replaced the glove, feeling dangerously sick, and did my best to assume the uncaring facade of a calculating mind in order to hide the fear and revulsion which overwhelmed me then. That I would not reveal, no matter what. Such things must not be! I felt the eyeball twich within its gruesome socket, and focused on the scream which threatened to escape my lungs at any moment.

I looked up, and observed what went on around me, surrounded by shadows.

She's wearing earrings, not a necklace, but that's all :smt003 Derp, Jay reminds me of that guy from Blindside. He needs some Thanksgiving dinner.

Elvira

I am on something cold. It smells weird.

There is someone next to me.

My eyes fly open, and I see a boy kneeling close to me. With a small scream, I scramble to my feet, backing up until I am leaning against a cool wall. My heart pounds; subconsciously I reach for my ear. My earrings - they're back! Relief washing over me, I rub them to make sure.

The boy is my age, tall and with striking blue eyes. There is an awkward moment in which we just stare at each other. Finally, I have enough courage to peel myself off the wall.

"Who are you?" I ask impolitely.

The boy doesn't answer, just keeps looking at me. It's almost as if he's looking past me.

"What is your name?" I repeat.

His gaze focuses now as he replies, "Jay."

"Um, okay, I'm Elvira. Do you know where we are?"

No answer. Biting my lip, I fiddle with my earring again as I look around. We are in some sort of tunnel system: Dark, damp, and eery. How the heck did I get here?

"Are you lost too? Where did you come from?" Despite my questions, the boy doesn't reply. Panicked tears threaten the corner of my eyes, but I push them back with a gulp. You're okay. At least you're not being attacked by that... Thing anymore. And you're not alone. Oh God, where am I? And where are you?

I open my mouth to try to poke some answers out of Jay, but before I can I hear a noise. A voice.

Spoiler
Uh... This can be anyone xD
When you asked me what Was wrong I wanted for dinner, I said "Nothing". But as I turned away I whispered, "Everything."

I'm shaking uncntrollably on this cold hard ground with my eyes shut tight. I had done an unforgivable thing and it was now clear to me more than ever, that I would never change. It's only moments later after the ground seemed to pressure my side seeping cold into my already cold body. I realise that it was only a dream, but I still couldn't bring myself to let go of the incident. Dream or not, I was undoubtly burdened with guilt.

Slowly I pulled myself up to sit up. The dark tunnels were lightly luminated by the green walls. There were voices coming down from the non luminated walls in a passage way. I tucked my knees in and hugged them. I was to shocked by my selfish action to be to afraid. Seconds later was when I actually 'woke up'

Like a trapped rat I jerked my head all around. Where was I? The voices still echoed all around, normally, I would be afraid of that too, but in this situation I would have hated it more to be alone, especially since that awful scene replayed itself in my mind. I am drained of all energy so I stumble down the passage way with my feet slightly shuffling, not loudly but the silence of the tunnel amplyfied it.

Annabelle

Finding my dagger, I see and A on it as well. “Annabelle.” I say. I look up to her and shake her hand. I hate the feeling of being so small and vulnerable. “Nice to meet you too.” I say, trying to stay out of my thoughts. A guy jerks up about ten feet away. I jump, all my scenes alert. Voices ring in my head. “Hey you.” I call. He looks over here, startled. “We are not going to hurt you.” I say.

“What am I doing here?” he asks.

“You know just as much as we do.” Autumn says.

“Who are you.” he asks. He slowly rises.

I take a step forward. “I'm Annabelle.” I say.

“Autumn.” She says.

“I wish the circumstances were better for an introduction.” I say.

The hall came to an opening. I could now see the two girls who's voices I heard. I wanted to go up to them for help, but I also didn't want to do that. I stood there staring at them while making a decision. IT was creeper like of me but I didn'thave to think any further about what to do. As I turned to leave, a huge unseeable force shuved me to the floor and I quicly got up to my knees. The girls had noticed me.
"Hey you!" one of them called. I jumped a little at being adressed that way. Was she mad? Did I do something wrong?
"We are not going to hurt you." She says which calmed my stressed out nerves to some degree.

Maybe they knew where we were. I could ask them and then leave... "Ha! Fat chance. You wouldn't risk being alone in this place. You're too afraid." I recognised that voice. It was the ruder cowerdly me.
"He's right. You should stay with them until you see an exit them leave them." It was the logic thinking me. Their voices loud in my head. I shut my eyes tight and shake my head to get it out. Wasn't it just a dream? Why is it haunting me? I felt bad because all they did was bring out what I considered doing. They knew me.

I finally got back my peace of mind.
"What am I doing here?" I ask.
"You know as much as we do." She replies. I get up on my feet, my legs feel like jelly. The girl steps closer. I keep my eyes on her carefuly watching. It was dumb being a little afraid of a girl, but in this dark tunnel and after that horrible dream, I wasn't so sure aymore.
"Who are you." I ask/
" I'm Annabelle." She says.
I forgot the other girl was there till she spoke up too.
"Autumn." She says.

" I wish the circumstances were better for an introduction." Annabelle says.
"I'm Vincent." I say. Don't judge me. I heard names were powerful things. I heard that by knowing ones name and birth date, anyone who knew how, could know about you and maybe worse.
Besides, they would've messed it up the way everybody does.

I observed as the others woke, one by one, until a selection of them have gathered not far away from the shadows which concealed me. Apparently they also were not aware of the events which precedeed our waking, and it comforted me slightly to be aware that they were in a position apparently little different from my own.

By thwt time a creeping semee of paranoise had been working at my mind, intent on tightening me beyond the bounds of rationality. I could feel things in the surrounding darkness which I knew should not be there... And then a noise or two made me begin to shiver somewhat violently before long.

I finally concluded that it would probably be reatively safe to join the others. Nervously, I stepped forware, and began making my way towards the others, one hand stroking my chin, my tongue licking my lips automatically. I left the greater shaDow, where I could be seen... And began walking, unaware of what I was supposed to say.

Spoiler
Sorry for leaving it like this... I really do not know what would happen, and fear to write it incorrectly... I would probably be with Jay on this one. I would say more than hi and my own name... But not much, and probably not unleas I have to.

Annabelle

The longer we stayed in the tunnel, the more people we found. It was no longer just the two of us now. There was a total of eight people. I began to think long and hard, why would someone put us here. Did we do something horrible to deserve something like this? I walk away from the group to get my dagger, which fell on the ground earlier

All of a sudden a ferocious growl is heard in the darkness. “What was that?” I ask myself, my voice a little shaky. The you could see it. In the dim lighting, there was a beast. It was baring its teeth and its glowing yellow eyes glared at me. “Oh my gosh.” I say in my head. I place my hand on the dagger and grip it tightly. As I pick it up the beast charges at me and leaps into the air. I jam my eyes shut, not wanting to see it while it is killing me.

Then there is a piercing cry. It was the beast. I slowly open my eyes and see Jay ans Ethan standing over it. Then Jay looks to me. He walks over and extending his hand. “Are you okay?” He asks.

I just nod. I am happy to be alive, but I am shaking all over.

“Hola, everyone.” A mysterious voice booms. “I'm sure you're all wondering why you're here. I'll tell you. In these tunnels, you will face your worst fears. Your most chilling nightmares will come to life. So don't dream anymore than you've already dreamed. Oh and try not to get killed. Last person left standing...or alive...will get out. Have fun.” The voice came form no where.

“What the heck.” Addy says.

“This cannot be happening.” Autumn says. But it was. All I can this about now is the nightmare I had before waking up.

I stand there, my face going pale. “No!” I scream. “Let me out of here.” I yell louder. “I am not going to die like this.”

Everything around me seemed to loose all sound and things began to move in slow motion. Things began to blur. The voice made all my senses freeze. I lost balance but then quickly got hold of something. I Needed to get a grip. Why was I so scared? My heart felt normal except for the slightly faster pulsing. But my mind...It was booming . Fear was screaming in my head. It was a surprise that no one heard.
I was still hoplding on to the thing, a wall or pole that convienently happened to be where I stood? I felt it beeting...more like a pulse. I was holding on to someone. I quickly pulled away. I looked up and it was him! The guy who recently joined us that kept liking his lips. His presence scared me stiff and so his eyes caught mine. Too late to look away.
"S-sor.." I couldn't finish off .

Ugh >><< Sorry for not replying sooner!!!!!

"It's ok-kay," I said quietly, still in a state of shock. I lowered my gaze for a moment, and upon glancing at him again realized that he was afraid of me. I tried to smile, but knew that it was an unconvincing attempt. "Hi."

"H-hello."

I did not know what else to say, thus I remained silent for a moment, observing my surroundings, not truly caring about them. The boy looked relieved that I did not pursue a conversation, so I just stood there uncomfortably, holding my right wrist carefully with my left hand, aware of the horrible formation. I thought that the boy looked at me strangely for a moment, but that could have been merely my imagination. Surely no one could possibly become aware of the thing with my glove concealing it. I refrained from scowling.

Your most chilling nightmares will come to life. I considered it, and began shivering. I could not remember the thing which pursued me through those tunnels, but I knew that it was not impossible that blindness was preferable to beholding it.

Within mere seconds, a scenario ran through my mind which consisted of me drinking blood-red juice at a Halloween party, losing my consciousness because of the drug dissolved within, being dragged through endless tunnels and left with other people of a similar fate, all experiencing the loss of memory caused by the drug. I then imagined a control room with a group of teenagers monitoring us through cameras, one of the girls speaking into a microphone. Hola, everyone. I knew that it was merely a possible explanation my mind came up with, not based on actual memory, but nevertheless I began running my through the walls, searching for cameras. Perhaps it was all a Halloween trick after all. Gathering courage, I began walking to inspect the walls more closely... And stopped upon remembering the third eye.

Inside my mind, I screamed.
