Although I am quite disappointed that Arlan didn't decide to take my place on the throne as my daughter's King, there's still a chance she could find someone new and make a grandfather out of me." I took another sip. "Furthermore, I could allow you to reap me when my firstborn grandchild is two months old. However, I have a condition to that offer."

I sigh deeply ready to repeat my words. for the second time.

"No, like I said it could take months, years, decades, centories, a millenium before she gives birth. And I'm not that patient." I said.

I order another glass of water and soon comes as I take a sip out of it, trying not to loss my tempor that quickly.

I sighed. There was no point in telling her my condition if she refused my offer. I wasn't in the mood to fight her verbally, so after her second refusal I knew that was my cue to quit. "Very well. I might as well drop it and leave it alone. If I don't, then it's a verbal battle I can't win. As far as I can tell, you're close to losing your temper if I press you. Consider it as end of discussion."

Skylar

We soon fly into a new neighborhood, I sat atop Diablo as he flew us in. As much as I wanted to be able to fly in on my own, I couldn't due to my pregnancy. It would simply take to much out of me if I were to shift into my full dragon form during my pregnancy. We soon find a house that we both agree on and bought it outright, walking in we looked around and saw all the things inside.

"Well this place looks nice, what do you think?" I ask.

I nodded. "Sí. Muy bonito, pero extraño. The place has the scents of many different creatures." I brought Skylar close to me, being careful not to crush the baby. "I'm a little worried though. The scent of the place unsettles me. You being with child, I have to do what I can to protect you and the oncoming next generation." I set my hand on her stomach, feeling life inside. "Dios proteja a mi pareja y nuestros hijos."

I smile as he brought me close to him, I get on my toes so I could get up to his height and kiss him. Just to think a few months ago i had only met Diablo, when I became pregnant I hated him. But over the last few months I grown to love him. I breath in his scent loving him all the more, and soon went back to my feet as I look around.

I took her into the house and set her on the couch. "Quédate aquí, mi mujer hermosa. Descanse mientras encuentro algo de comida. It's to help with the baby." I kissed her lips and went outside, looking for a place to get some food with all the jewels I still had from my hoarding days before I met Skylar. Her being pregnant and all, it felt like my duty to ensure the health of our little one as well as hers. I knew the baby she was carrying was mine. I was the only one in her life to ever sleep with her. Because of that, I have to be completely accountable for the little one she was carrying.

Skylar

I yawned as Diablo went outside, feeling tired, I lay down on the couch. My hand on my stomach, my fingers traced a small but hard orb in my stomach. I knew Diablo was my husband being the only guy I ever had slept with, I soon close my eyes as I fell asleep. Remembering back to when I was still considered a freak, back then Chicago wasn't all but destroyed by that oversized lizzard from the deep.

I wandered around, searching the town for a store that would provide food for Skylar. She needed food to support the baby inside her and produce milk to feed the baby once it's out of her body. I found a store and paid for some food fit for a pregnant woman like Skylar. I paid with what small jewels I had in my pocket and went back to the house. I unpacked all the food I paid for and went to her. "Como una leona caza para alimentar a sus cachorros, me han cazado para comida para alimentar a mi compañero que lleva mi juventud. It took me a while to find it, but I finally got to a store to provide for the family." I gently set my hand on her stomach, feeling the baby from there. "Soon our family will begin and we'll be offical parents." I kissed her lips and held her hand.

Selkhey

Selkhey strolled out of the town, holding this morning's newspaper. The usual stuff, it seemed. Some minor robbery in Witchhazel; some new magical academy or another springing up; and a leviathan in Chicago. A leviathan... wow. Selkhey hadn't met those in several millennia, he thought they were all but extinct. This one was gone now, having torn a path through north america.

He yawned and stretched. Selkhey hadn't been out of the house in a couple of days... and he hadn't eaten in weeks. Oh, whoops. So much for leading a human lifestyle.

He decided to go out for dinner, take a walk through the park, go to a stripper club maybe. And, by the gods, he needed to go shopping. Spiders had colonized the fridge.

Adjusting his tie, Selkhey strolled to the nearest convenience store. He saw a man there, carrying baby food or something. He glanced at him suspiciously. Selkhey grinned faintly and continued on his way. Though he made no show of it, he knew there was something distinctly inhuman about this man. Perhaps later, he would indulge in some research.
