Okay, so one of my friends used to call me Adelie penguin. It's a joke based off of my dead name. I asked her to stop calling me that and now she calls me "princess"

Not sure if that's better...

If you don't feel comfortable with the name, then it isn't any better. I don't know how long you have been friends with this person, but I would talk to them and if they continue calling you that, I recommend letting go of the friendship.
