Umm, I don't have much to say, other than what Aet already said, so Welcome to PERIs!
Maybe we can discuss how long we have been homeschooled, what level of homeschooling we are in now, etc.? I think it might be fun to get to know each other a little better as well. -

I'm Wiggy, aka Mary, and I've been homeschooled since 5th grade! I'm a junior in high school, I want to be a writer, I learn Russian, I love strawberries, and I think life is awesome!

I have been homeschooling the whole way through............... I am in eigth grade now.
I am learning Latin, I like handcrafts, and the outdoors. My favorite sport is swimming, and I am currently on a red cross swim team. I can't think of anything else to say right now, so bye!!!!!

Okay, I'll introduce myself too.
I'm Azila. I'm 12 years old and I've been homeschooled all my life, as have my three siblings. I LOVE HOMESCHOOLING!
So... Welcome! I hope this group goes well!

Hiya, all!
My name is Sachiko (internet name, obviously =P), and I have two older brothers, and lots of pets! My parents are divorced and I've been homeschooled my entire life, and plan to go to college for a master's degree in journaling or english. I'm a sophomore in highschool and I love anime, manga, and CATS!

Anyway, I realized that my introduction was kind of minimal, so here's more about me: I play the violin, dance ballet and am currently taking a college-level introduction to Spanish with my 15year-old brother. Como estas? lol.
Ballet (along with writing, obviously) is my passion. I do it as much as possible. Pointe really hurts (especially when you get blisters from new shoes!) but it's all worth it in the end.
Violin is more of a hobby for me, though I do enjoy it quite a lot. I'm also vegetarian.
...and when I'm not doing any of the above (or helping my mom cook, which I love to do) I'm WRITING!!!

I guess I have a bit moreto say as well.
I, like Azila, am vegetarian. I play the piano as well as the flute, (I just started flute), and I like knitting, crocheting, sewing, felting, and many other hand crafts. I also enjoy being in the outdoors, and doing activities such as boating camping and hiking. I have a dog and a cat, and I am constantly wanting to get more pets. This is the fewest I've had for about three years at least. Rigth now I am living on a military base, which is a very interesting experience, to say the least
I REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY want to get a bunny as a pet, but I am not having much luck convincing my dad

*gasp* I have a bunny! And, I used to live on a military base when i was reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeally little. But, I don't anymore.

I want a puggle as a pet, I love math, English (duh), science, and I rock climb! Well, actually I've only climbed walls as of yet. I animate, and... well, write... hmm... I dunno what else. I'm a spelling god... grammar demi-god... I think that's about it. -
Hi everyone! I'm logosgal. My real name is classified information, so if I told you, I'd have to send my troupe of dancing purple elephants after you.
I'm not a vegetarian, and I don't think I ever could be; I'm a bit picky when it comes to veggies.
But kudos to all you herbivorous humans! I don't have any pets right now. The only pets I've ever had were goldfish and virtual pets. I've always wanted a dog or cat, though. Or a snake, but my mom says I can't get a snake 'till after I've moved out. I play the violin. It's the only instrument I've ever had any training on, except for the handful of piano lessons I've had from my violin teacher. But I can pick out a tune on several other instruments, including piano, fife, and kazoo. If I didn't want to be a writer, I would probably want to be a musician.
I've only been homeschooled since 9th grade. Before that, I went to public school for nine years [grades K-8]. Public middle school was pretty much killing me, so by the end of 8th grade, my mom was seriously considering homeschooling me. We did sort of a test homeschool class that summer, and it pretty much didn't work, as I remember, but my parents decided to homeschool me anyway. Though I thought homeschooling was a good idea in general, it took me maybe a year or so to warm up to the idea of me being homeschooled. I kinda thought it was too late. But I finally realized that it wasn't. The first couple of years were hard because I didn't know many homeschoolers, and I'd only seen most of my old friends at school. Then I got into a homeschool performance arts program and made a lot of great friends there. And it was one of my new homeschool friends who pointed me to YWS! So, now I'm a senior in high school, I love homeschooling, I believe that pretty much every parent should consider it, I'm looking at colleges, my 13-year-old sister is also homeschooled, life is (usually) good, I'm learning German and Greek, and I collect rocks and keychains. And that's the (overly long) story of my conversion to homeschooling. -
Wooo for homeschoolers and non vegetarians! i'm not one either, and I can't stand eating green veggies. Except for salad. salad is okay.

Green veggies, yuck. Vegetarian, despite the prefix veg-, does not mean you eat nothing but veggies. You eat pizza and ice cream. Except for broccoli, I don't like vegetables that are green unless they've been cooked a lot.

Woo! So am I! Though I should have got that far by your name. What course thingy are you using? I can't remember what it's called, but are you doing the type that's called something like "bit into part" or "part into bit"? Do you learn the whole form of the verb and noun, or just the bits you need for the moment?
Oh, and Latin burble aside, I went to school for the whole of the infants, then left before I could become a junior. That kind of annoyed me at the time, because I wanted to play in the junior's bigger playground and play netball and do all the stuff you couldn't do in the infants.
Now, though, I'm really glad I'm home-schooled! Although I'll be going back for to do my A-levels.
What I missed most from school was the sport's day and the school lunches. I don't miss the Sport's day now, but I still miss the lunches.

Okay, okay, re-phrase.
I hate being cooped up in the house with my psychotic sisters and...er...mother. I also hate being told by my brother repeatedly that I have no life. And I'm sort of co-dependant on the computer which is....not good.
Hehe, I could ramble about how much I can't wait for high school, but that would be somewhat redundant for this forum.
I see many of us are vegetarians...I'm about 95% vegetarian.
