I usually read 2/3 YA 1/3 Adult with a little nonfiction sprinkled in sometimes too. I love all romance, but I read outside of romance as well!

I liked Meredith Ireland's first YA (The Jasmine Project) more, but I love a good roadtrip story and there were some really cute elements to this one and I really enjoy her voice.
*technically I read most of this in 2023 and I was hoping to finish before the new year and finish my goodreads challenge but alas. -

omg where to even begin. I'm a huge fan of the Chloe Gong cinematic universe -- and I'm not usually a big fantasy person.
Foul Heart Huntsman is the second book of a duology, and the last book in the Secret Shanghai universe. WOW it was a satisfying conclusion!!
HIGHLY recommend the whole lot of them if you haven't read them already!
The proper order is:
1. These Violent Delights
2. Our Violent Ends
3. Foul Lady Fortune
4. Last Violent Call
5. Foul Heart Huntsman
These Violent Delights/Our Violent Ends is also a duology. Foul Lady Fortune/Foul Heart Huntsman is the other duology. Both duologies can be read on their own, but FLF/FHH involve characters from TVD/OVE and you'll probably enjoy them more in context. Last Violent Call is set of two novellas that joins the two duologies together. BUT if you don't read in that order, you'll spoil things for yourself!! -

this was my most anticipated book of the year and it did NOT disappoint!!! Gracie Gold is my favorite modern figure skater and she literally had my jaw on the ground with this book. This is not a shy or careful memoir in any way! She calls some people/things OUT. She has dark, dry humor. I absolutely adore her. 10/10 no notes perfect in every way. Like I'll probably re-read it just to highlight all my favorite quotes.
She's also the narrator of the audiobook if you're an audio person!
If you're not familiar with the elite figure skating world and Gracie Gold, be forewarned that her story is dark. The writing is excellent and nothing is graphic, but content warnings include:Spoiler
eating disorders, severe depression, suicidal ideation, sexual assault, and parental substance use. read with caution if those topics are tough for you <3 -

I thought I'd have to wait forever to get this from the library, but it just happened to come available right as I was looking for my next read. This was a fast read. Not the best *written* memoir I've ever read, but it was still really interesting. WOW so many people did her so wrong. It's truly appalling. I wish the book would've gone even 10% deeper, and I think there is a lot more to everything she shared. But I also appreciate that this was probably a really tough book for her to write and there's some stuff she probably wants to keep private. I feel like this was written to explain certain events to her fans, but it's by no means a deep dive into her life. Still worth a read! -
