   recurring themes/summary of nightmares:
   

   • evaline turning on him/ripping heart out
   • carter showing up as the "true friend" who supports his darkest thoughts
   • tula/rita telling him to loosen up
   • seeing people from his past who somehow know things about his present in earth (without an explanation how), usually paired with a warning/a sense of urgency
   • seeing assumed undone timelines with it suddenly taking a dark turn
   • evaline's last words on nye
   • variants of evaline as teen with elias n friends - some of which mixed in with other dreams
   • alternate endings or extensions to several other undone memories as well

   i'm thinking maybe whatever was in the drugs oli gave james makes is harder/near-impossible for james to really filter/control what he sees
   but maybe now that he is getting all that out of his system
