I agree, but I have a theory on that. I think that every character has two main houses that they'd fit in (i.e. Ron is Gryffindor/Hufflepuff, Harry is Gryffindor/Slytherin, etc.) and the traits that they admire most are where they go. Hermione directly states that she values courage and bravery over cleverness and smarts, so she was put in Gryffindor. idk, that's just how I see it

Would be too mainstream if I said Harry? Agreed he is little flawed, but brave and good-hearted too and that kind of seals the deal for me.
