    Spoiler
was helping a close friend of mine over the phone and they went “don’t worry i’m not a danger to myself. i don’t like hurting, i could never hurt myself.” and i KNOW it wasn’t meant to be a slight at me (they know about my struggles) but it still sorta stung. i had to step away for a moment because my immediate reaction was to say “oh so you’re too good for that?” and be spiteful. i hate that i thought of saying that and i hate that it bothers me.
and it just felt so selfish (which makes sense!! they’re going through a hard time i can’t blame them) that they can callously say that. they can think “oh, i would never get that bad, i would never let that happen—“ i thought that too. and well, it happened.
