    Dear writers,
    A warm welcome to the Flash Fiction Club! I hope it will prove to be useful for those of of you who like writing flash fiction and wish to hone your skills; or also for those who’ve never tried writing flash fiction before and would like to try it out.

    In this club, there will be discussions, writing prompts and contests that are solely centered on the genre of flash fiction.

    The reason I created this club is because flash fiction is one of my favorite genres (yup you guessed it!), but also because I realized that it improved many aspects of my writing. It helped me to choose my words carefully, and I also learned to detect unnecessary details and cut them out, due to its strict word limit.

    If you have any questions, feel free to leave them in your comments here. I’ll be happy to help!

    Hey there, this is a great idea! I've only written flash fiction once before, for a school assignment, but it was really fun and definitely stretched my writing and editing skills. I know there are a few different word-count definitions of flash fiction, as the one I did had to be 100 words or less, while I've read from other sources that it can be as much as 1,000 words, and then there's always the classic 6-word story challenge. Will you have an overall word-count limit for the whole club, or use different limits for different prompts/contests? I think it might be fun to have variety to get people to experiment. And if you ever need ideas for prompts, I'm more than happy to help!

    Hi paperforest, I will be using different word limits for different prompts and contests. And actually, if you have any ideas for prompts, it would be great if you posted them here! Thank you so much for subscribing to my club too, I thought nobody noticed it.
