  1. Introductions

A thread to introduce yourself to your fellow writers! Feel free to mention whatever you'd like. I'd personally suggest mentioning who you are, what you prefer to write for, and even a few things you've collaborated on or are currently writing.
  2. Hi everyone! My name is MJTucker, although I've started to go by "Tuck" on here :). I love writing science fiction and dystopia, in particular, although I also enjoy fantasy and might even write some realistic or contemporary fiction from time to time. I love storybooks because they give me a chance to collaborate with other writers and explore different ideas. I'm trying to become more active on the storybook front and step out of my comfort zone while also being mindful of my other time commitments, and I'm excited to step up my involvement in storybooks!
  3. Hey all! My name's Kirkiln, but I'm sure most of you know me by Omnom XD (shhh I needed a name change) but I've been around in the Storybook forum since 2013, and have been a Storybook mod since May 2014 --although I recently moved over to Resources. I still want to be active and I have a Storybook in the works that I might make a post about soon :D

I love worldbuilding! And helping poking plot holes in your stories XD but I love writing with others which is why I love Storybooks so much. I like science fiction and fantasy. Most of all I just love helping and talking to others :D so feel free to poke me whenever you'd like ^^
  4. Helloooooo, beautiful people♪

The name's Tortwag, recently changed to TinkerTwaggy and sometimes, I am Shell Master Tortwag, because Shell Master's a really fun joke title to have when you're a big fan of reptiles, shelled stuff and shells. Y'know. The exploding kinds. Incidentally, I also love weapons and robots.

Been writing in SBs for quite some time, now, but I've never really shown any interest in making a StoryBook - only joining them and having a jolly good time after doing so, with both my creations and other people. Fantasy and science-fiction's mah jam, but to be fair, fantastic, urban fantasy, science fantasy and... pretty much any similar sub-categories are also things I like to write for. I can also do High Fantasy, but since it requires extensive research, expect me to be slow and precise.

Now, a couple of things about my character!

•You might see me end my sentences with "m'dear", from time to time. "m'dear" isn't meant to relate to age in any way, nor is it meant as something condescending. It is a translation to an expression I use in French for the sake of casualness, lightheartedness and just... general affection. Why French? Because French is my first language, m'dears!
Two info bits in one, ain't that beautiful.

•"Evolution", of a person, of a concept or of an item, is an idea that speaks to my heart, and you'll often see these themes appear in my writing. This also means that I can very easily have fun on my own, since my characters tend to have their own goals within a story I'm a part of. I also have a tendency to create NPCs (for myself or others).

•I don't really have a... limit, in terms of genre? I just need to find a concept I can tinker with, and then I'll join whatever is available. I suppose that realism and dystopias are usually things that I don't join, but even then it highly depends on the setting and established rules. Basically, I like following rules, and finding ways to fit into them without stopping to be who I am. So, uh, don't take me in if you don't want a deviant XD I can conform just fine, but since it's not my default setting, you'd have to be very explicit about it.

•I like coming up with suggestions and ideas, so I'll usually be the type to do so, both in public and in private (to avoid spoiling things, or if asked).

•"You can do whatever you want :D"/"Go crazy!"/"Go nuts!" ←
↑ Yeeeah, avoid saying that to me XD
When I see that, I'll probably insist on asking whatever it is that you'd want/desire/prefer, and you should definitely give me some precision. It's better than having me doing whatever I want, since uh, haha, it... probably won't fit your reality.

Aaaand... Yeah, that's about it. Cheers to you all, m'dears, and have yourselves a fantastic time!
  5. Formalities
Hello, hello hello! I am EverLight, but you can call be Ever. I guess you could say that I'm new to the StoryBook buisiness but I love every moment of it so far. I'll do any SB so as long as it's some type of fantasy-such as Dystopia, Si-Fi etc etc.
    My Personality
I'm a mix between compassionate and edgy, which baisically means that I can say the sweetest thing, then a few secants later be all-”I’d like to confirm that I just don’t care” Socially I'm not the best with people, and a little shy, so it takes me a while to trust people. Once I do though, I'm fun, and definetly full of things to say. I crave my independance the way I crave Cherry Ice Cream (ALOT), and I tend to be very competitive, and I get offended a little too easily, especially when treated like a ”little sister”, or when I feels like something I wrote was ignored, or passed up for another persons work. Buuut, you don’t have to worry about that because I've learned to manage all of that-at least on Y.W.S.
I'm very thoughful, a deep thinker, extremely courageous, a fighter, and passionate about the things I love. My one great fault is that I get offended easily, (as mentioned before) and I must be on top, or I feel way down low. Aside from that, err…I have major mood swings and go quickly from ”lalala, i’m so happy” to to ”depressed, self-piteous-angel ” to ”i-vant-to-kill-you” rather quickly.

    Ta ta for now!
  6. Heyo. I'm Cymbelly, and I specialise in wholesomely morbid content.

I'm too lazy to create my own storybooks, but frequently butt in to help others develop some juicy, juicy worldbuilding.

It's an easy mistake to design a world that's fun to read about, but disappointingly limiting to play in. My goal is to design freaky funhouses with players in mind, where there's room for all players to leave footprints and rustle jimmies.

I prefer Ghibli-esque genre blends that put some magic in the urban and slice of life in the fantasy, but I can be persuaded to try others.
I'm also a fan of steampunk, historical, court dramas, wholesome spooky mysteries.

Beware only my tendency to overstuff the suggestion box, (though I promise to respect bounds) and my overflowing tap of fluffy sentimentality. It's a gift.
  7. hi. Im theo. but thats not my username .. idk how to fix that. Um im in love with writing and willing to pretty much any story. yay my awkwardness.
