  1. Here I shall write seven poems throughout the week of camp!
  2. Can you imagine how quickly
    the fires shift and scour
    the hand which lit them?
I thought I would catch the sparks,
    smell the turning air,
outsmart the Fates or karma or my past
    selfish desires.
I thought I would know better,
but I have bit my own hand as it fed
the flames and I lost my chance to run.
  3. I like that first poem @tgirly, try a couple more ;)

(Also really enjoyed the use of the Fates in a poem about fire)
  4. I have studied your vocabulary,
made hieroglyphs out of gestures, glances, heart beats,
counted breaths, measured fingernails, searched in forgotten tomes for hidden clues,
found meaning and morality within the veins beneath your cheeks,
studied and hypothesized and questioned and answered,
    longing for understanding, connection, communication,
but all I can find, all I can see
    is me.
  5. if this is the place i was meant to be,
    i curse meaning and order.
there is a reason Why only the low prefer anarchy
if tHere is purpose in suffering, i wish to Move BeyonD purpose,
overcome myown until wALLS and DOOrs brk downn
    &i m lefT w/ a NEW way,
A NEW PATH THAT BETTER SERVES
    ME.
A RESTRUCTURING BECAUSE ONLY VISIONARIES AND LEGIONARIES
    PREFER TYRANNY
and In anarchy everyone can see.
  6. my darling,
you are too cynical for your own good-
you are worse than an idealist.
At least their dissonance leads to happiness,
if only for a short time.
I would rather have light, even if it burns me
    than freeze in the darkness.

Think of all the beauty still left around you, and smile.
