- Read 50 books & follow lit magazines regularly this year: post a daily log of what I read on this thread and hope the notifications don't freak anyone out
As a note to self, things I'm NOT working on currently
- The prose blog: maybe not happening because I've decided mainly to pursue poetry for now, and even then, not on a 'professional' basis because my focus is on research and targeting a research career. I still want to read though!
- From Arachne is also on hiatus for now, but I might try getting it done sometime before the next academic year. -

-pace seems to go faster than the Fellowship, probs because Fellowship is part of a series and Hobbit is a standalone prequel. The characters seem simple (well, not simple, but like . . . transparent?) to me, but very vibrant.
Q: why does Gandalf lie about Bilbo being a burglar? (I mean I think that's what he will become, so does Gandalf see the future or something? Prophecy? How do Gandalf work I don't know)
