Q's Goals

6 posts in this topic.

  1. Alrighty! I have four major goals at the moment -- two are weekly goals, and the other two are more general.
    1. Stay in LMS with a 1000 word chapter of How Was Your Day? every week -- try to keep the writing quality as well.
    2. Begin SAW and try to complete one short story a week for an entire year.
    3. Complete my 2017 NaNo novel -- I want to do this before the summer, and then spend the summer revising.
    4. Rewrite my 2015 NaNo novel and complete it. I may have to do about 1000 words a week for this as well.
  2. For this past week, I managed to write for both LMS and SAW, but really neither of my other goals. School is hard! And too much homework. I’m probably going to mostly focus on the first two until spring break hits.
  3. OMG LET'S SEE HOW YOU'RE DOING BBY

Obviously you've stayed in LMS so far where is this week's writing omg the suspense is killing me but how are the other goals going? Are you planning to double-down on those now that LMS III is about to be over? Or are you going to take a break?

(And if so, how long? Because you should probably decide so you don't just "take a break" forever lol.)

ALSO obviously I have to ask if you're planning to revise How Was Your Day at some point!
  4. Heyyyy Blue. :)
    1. LMS is obviously going great. c;
    2. uhhh I dropped out of SAW on week three, but short stories are still really important to me, so I'm going to keep writing them, just not so constantly. I think LMS made SAW too tricky.
    3. YES I ACTUALLY DID THIS. AND I DID IT ON TIME. lots of pride there, I've started revising (*cough* by making pretty formatting changes)
    4. I haven't been consistent, but in general the rewriting is going well. Not as bad as I thought it would be, but at the same time, it's worse. Still, I like my idea, so it's fun to do it rather than painstaking.

YES I WILL DOUBLE DOWN NO BREAKS FOR QUERENCIA (except for traveling haha)

And of course I will revise! How Was Your Day is the longest thing I've written to date and I will never give up on it. <3 Even though I have a good idea for LMS IV, I'm not joining because it seems unfair to just drop HWYD like this. I've put so much work in already that I need to keep caring for it! I'll probably keep in touch with you and DarkPandemonium about this too because you always have great ideas about my novel. :,)

Thank you so much for checking in on me @BlueAfrica!! <333
  5. No problem!

Hooray and awesome! SAME THO like wow, the Chosen Grandma is by far the longest first draft I've ever written (not to mention the cleanest/strongest). LMS is p dang good for writing a first draft if you can stick with it lol
  6. Okay, since I completed goals 1 and 3, and dropped out of 2, here are some new goals.

    1. Revise How Was Your Day, perhaps one page per week so that it's not overwhelming.
    2. Get blue review star by the end of the summer!
    3. Make sure to continuously review an LMS novel.
    4. Work on revisions/rewriting Purity and Winterland when there's time to spare.
