  1. @RavenLord

    Spoiler
    Name: Daisy

    Age: 23

Physical Description: She's of average height with honey-blonde hair - usually arranged in careful pin curls, but naturally straight - and a heart-shaped face. She wears fifties-inspired yellow skirt with layers of petticoats and a white top.

Personality: She's got a kind personality, and tends to hope for the best in people. At first. She can come off as nieve in new situations, but that is typically her attempts to be polite being misread.

Powers: Nothing magical, but she's a heck of a lot stronger than she looks and can be a nightmare of brutal brute force if it comes to that. That is a last-ditch effort, though. First, she will nearly always try reasoning or trickery.
  2. (I like her. Would you like me to repost skekRa's description?)
  3. (If you'd like, but it's not completely necessary) (I'ma be honest, I'm not entirely sure how to start. Considering the layout of the grounds outside the castle, I think it would make the most sense if she's been hiding out around the castle, trying to figure out a way home/figuring out how the world works. Otherwise, I don't think she'd approach the blatantly-evil building)
  4. (I can start if you like. Just gimme thirty minutes. I've got class.)
  5. (No problem. I've got, well, the closest thing my school has to a class here soon as well so I'll be offline as well within the next hour)
  6. (I'm gonna bring skekMal back because he died too soon.)

It was early morning on Thra, and the Castle of the Crystal was silent. Thirteen avian-reptilian forms had gathered around the Dark Crystal, bathing in its purpled rays as the three suns rose. Today was a special day, for the Hunter had returned.
skekMal, the most ruthless Skeksis, the most wayward and free-willed, stood tall between the hunched forms of the Chamberlain and the Emperor. He was here, and he was here to stay, to exterminate the Gelflin at the side of his own species.
The Emperor had been glad to have him. Though his opinion was final, the other Skeksis had their own thoughts on the matter.
skekSil, the Chamberlain, the right-hand of Emperor skekSo, thought only of the advantages the Hunter would provide him. They had worked together once or twice before, and each time both had reaped the benefits. Perhaps skekSil could glean a bit more usefulness from the savage Skeksis.
skekUng, the newly-appointed Garthim Master and General of the Garthim army, was seething with jealousy as he usually was. skekMal was the only one who truly posed a threat to his position, and he had recently fallen out of favor with the Emperor. For him, this arrival was terrible news.
Most of the other Skeksis were somewhere between paranoid and pleased at the Hunter's return, but one was nearly in a state of panic.
skekRa, the Mortician. The would-be Scientist and background lurker. His amber eyes were fixed on the Crystal, glazed in ecstasy as his energy was rejuvenated, but within his heart was pounding. skekMal could sniff out anything and everything if he put his mind to it. And that was terrible, terrible news. It meant that skekRa would have to set his plan in motion far earlier than intended, and it meant that Nosa was in grave danger.

The pitter patter of little feet sounded just as the suns passed and the Skeksis came out of their trance, and a tiny Podling--one of the few that had not been drained for essence--came skittering into the chamber, jabbering frantically.
"What is it saying?" the Scroll-Keeper asked shrilly, adjusting his three sets of spectacles in irritation. "It's far too early for such nonsense!"
"A creature was found at the east end of the castle," the Slave Master grated. "Gelfling....but not Gelfling. You're not making any sense, slave!" skekRa watched in silence, eyes narrowed thoughtfully.
  7. Daisy had tried to keep out of sight. She was trespassing, after all, and there was little chance she could give any convincing excuse for why she was there. She guessed she would find out if her attempts failed at any point. She wasn't exactly a champion at staying hidden even when she knew who, and what, she was hiding from.

For all she knew these creatures could sniff her out like bloodhounds.

She chastised herself for that thought. They were clearly intelligent, it was far more than just rude to compare them to animals.

Outside of the castle - she decided 'castle' was the best way to describe this odd, twisting building - the ground was flat for what could have been miles. It might've been silly of her, but she didn't think that these creatures would take well if they saw her leaving. Even at night, with her bight clothes, it would be harder not to spot her.

Under different circumstances, she would have approached one of them and explained herself. But those creatures always seemed to be in a foul mood, and she'd already avoided them this long. Her explanation would be much less convincing now.

So she darted out of sight when she heard a sound and made sure to keep as quiet as possible.
  8. "If it's a Gelfling we should crush it!" skekUng barked.
"No!" skekTek the Scientist shoved his way forward, spreading his mismatched arms. "The Podling said it wasn't a Gelfling!"
"Either way, we should find it and capture it before it runs away. It could have been spying," the Scroll-Keeper mused.
"Agreed," Chamberlain hissed, tilting his head. "Yes, why bicker when little creature could be making escape?" Everybody began to talk at once, and the Emperor held up a hand for silence.
"Send the Garthim after it," he growled when the Skeksis had stopped talking.
skekRa slipped away as skekUng gave a smug snort, heading down to the catacombs.
  9. Daisy found that the place with the fewest people was down in the darker sections of the castle, not that there were many people to begin with. It was gloomy, stifling, and generally unpleasant, but it was most of all secluded. That was where she was. Occasionally there would be someone else around. She never saw them, but when she heard shuffling or voices she would make her way back up to the slightly more pleasant areas of the castle to hide.

It was in the dark that she was now. Well, 'gloom' was more accurate. There was hardly a place with no light at all around here.
  10. Whatever that thing was, it would be caught soon enough and likely turned over to skekTek. skekRa had no business chasing after it either way. The Garthim would take care of the creature and that would be that. In the meantime, while the others were distracted, he would check on Nosa and bring her something to eat.
  11. (My spelling and the time it takes to spell are going to get worse since I’m on my phone right now. I apologize I’m advance)

Daisy kept walking, moving along. She’d go ‘stir-crazy’, as the neighbors called it, if she didn’t. If she stayed hidden for long enough, and listened, she would theoretically be able to find a way home. ‘Theoretically’, listen to her! Thinking like she was some kind of scientist.
  12. skekRa muttered to himself as he walked; his arthritis was acting up again. He stretched his secondary arms, flexing his fist on the one that still had a hand. This was going to be a hellish day, he could already tell.
There was a scuffling sound up ahead, and he paused, cocking his head. Probably just a crawlie.
  13. Daisy froze. The sound of scuffling and muttering ahead of her. She glanced around. She hadn’t been in this place much before. She disinterested see anywhere she could hide, certainly not while wearing white.

Quickly, she prepared herself for the meeting she’d been avoiding.

It had to happen sometime, she decided.
  14. He came slowly around the corner, poking his beak out first.
    Oh, Thra.
That was it. That was the thing the Podling was talking about.
It certainly was ugly enough to be a Gelfling, but the face didn't protrude. Nor did the ears, and the eyes were very small. It was a bit bigger than a Gelfling, too. skekRa hissed menacingly, going into defensive. He didn't know what this thing was, but he wasn't going to take any chances.
  15. Daisy had to resist the urge to jump. She made a quick decision on whether or not to give any kind of smile. For all she knew, this person would see that as a threat. She settled on a closed-lipped, pleasant smile. Trying to give the impression she wasn’t freaking out as much as she was.

“Hello,” she said. It was usually a good place to start.
