  1. Introduction: I need inspiration/fresh opinions on my feature script!

    Link: N/A

Brief Description of Story: In 1971, twenty-one year old Alex Altman is in prison for the murder of a beautiful young Olympian, Margaret Kelly, and her fiancé. Three years earlier, we see how she met a man named Jay and became the first follower of his dangerous cult, how they became established in a campground as well as the months that led to the murders.

Story's Genre: Crime Drama, Historical Fiction

Setting: Somewhere in the Pacific Northwest, 1968-1971

Preferred Type of Questions, If Any: Any, but anything about the characters and their relationships in particular

    Other: N/A
  2. Why did he murder Margaret?
  3. What is the cult and why is it dangerous?
  4. Does your story have any epic plot twists?
  5. What do your characters look like?
  6. @Danni88 - Because of her wealth and what she represented being part of the elite upper class.

@DarkPandemonium - They live and work at a campground in Yellowstone, and are dangerous because Jay is not a good person and very manipulative.

    @Shikora - Maybe. ;)

@occymay - I did a fan cast. Alex is Kathryn Newton, Sasha is Natalia Dyer, Michelle is Rowan Blanchard, Blake is Noah Centinelo, and Jay is Armie Hammer. Those are the central characters anyway.
  7. Intriguing. In what way is Jay not a good person? What are his goals?
  8. Why did Jay make a cult?
  9. @DarkPandemonium - He's a psychopath, so he doesn't care about other people. He wants attention and recognition.

@Saen - He wanted to gather a group of people who wouldn't leave him, and he picked younger people, mostly girls, because they weren't as world weary and because he could take advantage of the power dynamic.
  10. How much focus will be on any sort of romance, or will there be romance in the first place? If yes, between whom?

Remember when dad's shoulders were the highest place on earth and your mom was your hero? Race issues were about who ran the fastest, war was only a car game. The most pain you felt was when you skinned your knees, and good byes only meant tomorrow? And we couldn't wait to grow up.
