Ever wondered what Mei’s mum got up to when she was the Ghost? Do any other members of Scarlet’s family have powers? And how do Maruco’s parents know Black Panther?
This is a companion to the Scarlet Hart series, set before she was born. It follows Mei and Maruco’s parents when they were at Madame Prince’s.

Ooh, this sounds really interesting! So this is basically like following the equivalent of the Marauders? Also, going off of that, how much trouble did they get into when they were at school?

What’s the Marauders?
They got into LOTS of trouble. It was rare to get past two days without them being in some kind of trouble. -
If they got into so much trouble, why were they allowed to stay and not get kicked out? What kind of trouble?

Madame Prince doesn’t really kick people out. She suspends them, but she thinks they’d be more of a danger if they didn’t learn to control their magic.
It was mostly Yasmin, Maruco’s mum, beating up people (especially Maruco’s dad, Sam) -
Describe Madame Prince's personality. What was her motivation for starting a magic school?

She wanted inhumans to have a safe place to learn to control their magic - her own sister died because her magic consumed her.

Sorry- forgot the personality bit. She’s quite eccentric and appears carefree and harmless but is a very good fighter.

What’s the Marauders?
They're the friend group Harry Potter's dad was in at their time at Hogwarts, and they were notorious for being some of the most mischievous troublemakers there. So it sounds like they're pretty similar!

They are kind of like the Marauders! I think I’d they ever met, they’re would have got along.
There was a jewel thief in the town where Yasmin and Sam live, and they’d decided to track him down. Turns out Black Panther was also trying to find him. They both bumped into each other and (after getting the massive revelation that all the Marvel characters are real) they then sort of raced each other to find him first. They then had to team up to find him, which they did, and then they made friends with each other. Yasmin keeps asking him if she can be in his next film. -

Skipping a little far ahead, what do your protagonists do after the story ends? -
The story ends when Maruco and Mei get to the age they are in The New Hero. They (their parents) have a suspicion that an evil being has returned, but aren’t too sure. They appear in The New Hero, so it’s not the end for them yet.

How did all the parents meet in the first place?

Yasmin, Ying (Mei’s mum) and Bobby (Mei’s dad) had been best friends since they were at nursery. They were actually nemeses with Sam, but ended up having to work together after weird things started happening.
