  1. Here is the link!
Scarlet Hart believed she was just an ordinary human.
    Boy, how wrong she was.
One crazy day, she discovers she is an air elementalist and is packed off to Madame Prince's Academy for the Gifted, where she befriends Maruco, a slightly crazy African boy, and Mei (aka Pixie), a brilliant Chinese engineer. She joins a secret club known as the Prince's Warriors - a group of teenagers dedicated to stopping evil.
Trouble is, the most evil there is at Madame Prince's is Callie Bell, the nastiest girl in the school who also happens to be Scarlet's dorm-mate.
When Scarlet discovers a master criminal is a pupil at HER SCHOOL on HER FLOOR (there are 3 dorms to each floor) and may even be in HER DORM, she, Mei and Maruco know they have to stop them - whatever it takes.
They won't be going it alone, though - there's a little help from Mei's mum and a Marvel superhero...…
  2. Ooh, I love the story already! So why did Madame Prince make the academy in the first place? Also, which Marvel superhero is helping them out?
  3. Madame Prince made the academy after the First Wizard War, when she and some other people had to fight against an incredibly powerful sorceresses. She believed that young inhumans should have a place of safety where they could learn to control their powers. Also, her sister died because she couldn't master her fire powers and it consumed her. She never wants that to happen to anyone ever again.

Black Panther. In my story the Marvel comics were all written by the characters themselves, and Stan Lee and Jack Kirby (both wizards) just marketed it. When Maruco's mum was a teenager she made friends with Black Panther, so he stops Maruco from getting into scrapes. (It's a busy job, Maruco is always in a scrape.)
  4. How does the trio become friends?
  5. That's so cool! I was expecting one of the more popular characters, so I'm happy to see that Black Panther is getting a chance to shine in your story.

I notice that you said First Wizarding War. Does that mean more are to come, or have already happened? Also, what was the reason for the war?
  6. @Lael Maruco and Mei were already best friends. When Scarlet joined, they offered to show her around the school, and they all got to know each other that way. Scarlet also shared a lot of interests with them.

@Saen The First Wizard War was followed by the Second Wizard War, about fifty years after and there may be a third war in the later books
  7. Oh, wow! I wasn't expecting that many wars. There had to be something to trigger them, though, right? So what caused the wizards to duke it out? And what were the different sides in the wars?
  8. This sounds cool, and I don't know why, but when I started reading the plot, the only thing that popped into my mind was Harry Potter. Was the series an inspiration for your novel?

This question is about Callie Bell, what makes her evil? Since there is magic involved, I'm guessing she isn't just a bully. And why don't Callie and Scarlet get along? Is she like that towards everyone or did Scarlet do something to piss her off?
  9. @Saen they were both by the same sides - two evil sorcerers who want to rule the humans and their opposers - among them Madame Prince and Scarlet’s ancestor Adilus Bacon. The latter believes they should leave the humans in peace and that the sorcerer’s method is brutal.

@TheWeirdoFromBeyond yes, it was partly based on Harry Potter! It was also slightly based on Percy Jackson.
Callie’s complicated. She already hated Maruco and Mei because their parents and her mother hated each other when they were at school. She is generally nasty to everyone but especially hates Scarlet because she humiliated her in front of the whole dorm.
  10. Oh cool! Two of my favorite series :D

Next question- Mei's mom, how does she help them?
  11. She used to be a secret agent called The Ghost which I totally did not steal from Marvel again and still does some work for the MSS (Magical Secret Service.) She was tracking the master criminal and when she discovered they were at her daughter's school she decided to infiltrate the building and spy on them. When Scarlet, Mei and Maruco confront the criminal (who I am going to call X for now to save having to write 'the criminal' over and over again), X overpowered them and was about to kill them, but Mei's mum stopped X.
  12. Ooh, cool!

Will it ever come to a point where it's decided that regular people should learn about magic, or a point where magic is accidentally revealed to the normal humans of the world? Or is it always going to stay hidden?
  13. I am really glad you asked that! I'm going to enspoiler the answer for people following the novel.

    Spoiler
In the second book, Scarlet's twin sister and a boy who witnesses them fighting discover the existence of magic, but they swear to keep it a secret. It will probably never be revealed to the wide majority of humans, but there will always be some humans who know. For example, the Greeks and Vikings knew about magic, and some ancient cultures alive today are aware of its existence.
  14. Oooh, neat!

    Spoiler
Since ancient cultures knew about it, is there going to be some fun history references throughout the novel?
  15. Spoiler
Yep, I’m trying to figure out how to work them in! African and Maori references will mainly appear.
