When/how does James reveal that his name is actually James, and not Matt?

Clandestine ends up finding his journal by snooping through his stuff while he's asleep, reads it, and accidentally falls asleep with it in her hands.
James of course wakes up, sees her. His real name isn't actually written in his journal because he's not that dumb. But he assumes she's read enough to know that his facade is a lie.
They split, naturally, and when James departs into town she follows close behind. Long story short Clanny decides to go looking for him to apologize, cuz she's super lonely™ and it's just a decent thing to do. But in her search she finds an old wanted sign with him on it and recognizes him, gets mad, and is even more determined to find him because now she has questions. Buuuuuuut when she does finally find him she ends up getting used as leverage against James so that he's more compliant to go with a bounty hunter who finds him.
He gets taken. She gets knocked out.
When she comes to she's still determined to find him, but now she's like, worried. And starting to question whether he's worth all the trouble he's turning out to be, but she does end up tracking him down and saving him.
But at that point she thinks his real name is Tiberious lol which it STILL ISN'T. So he ends up telling her his name is James 'cause she demands truth. No one's called him that in years, so it's not like anyone besides Carter would know, 'specially with James being a pretty nondescript name. Doesn't share his last name still though. But not for selfish reasons. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I'VE GOT AN IMPORTANT QUESTION
When does Larrel run into her brother again? And how does that go down, since he's obviously going to be really apologetic and awkward, and Larrel is going to just as obviously be both angry and happy that she found her brother? -

I actually haven't figured that part of the story out for sure. Because James has very effectively split away from his family and they think he's dead (something I only recently settled on,,, ha) that makes it really hard to go back.
I'm thinking it'd honestly have to be an after-the-big-baddie thing because he wouldn't bring his family into that anyway. I do think that, if I stick with the general plan, since he'll be in more of a .... spotlight in the Moonlight Kingdom at that point and his name will start spreading via word of mouth that his family might eventually hear about him and have suspicions.
Which..... just made me wonder if he would start using Hawke as his surname again or if he'd go back to being Tiberius????

BUT ANYWAY! If/when/however he ends up seeing Larrel, it'll definitely be... hard. Mostly because they've already grieved his death. His mom will mostly?? Honestly just be happy he's alive. His sister Larrel will be... more distant. Angry. Bitter. Confused. Rightfully so. It'll be angsty and sad. And Petrus - his step-brother he never really got to know - will be really protective of Larrel too. Because he's actually spent the last idk 10+ years actually being Larrel's brother, and they've gotten super close.
Petrus is gonna be like, happy for his mom(step-mom) Jane, mostly. He never really knew James all that well. He knew him for like, the year his dad courted James's mom before their marriage, and James was in a tough spot during that time so... yeah.
It'll be really complicated. -

Goblins are very similar to humans in structure, except that their backs are more arched, their feet are longer, and their nails are naturally sharper and harder. They have rough, leathery, green skin, and long, floppy, slightly pointed ears. They also have sharp, pointy teeth and larger jaws, along with yellow or orange eyes. They're often seen wearing brightly colored clothing and armor that's practical and simple.
Goblins exist in a very honor centric culture. Authorities are rarely questioned and to do so is seen as mutinous and extremely disrespectful. But on the flipside of that coin, leaders rise to power by proving themselves worthy through acts of honoring and respecting others. They are masters at working as a unit and efficient at using the strengths of others to push towards a common goal.
Goblins typically do not speak any human tongue, and this is often weaponized by humans as a means of dehumanization (would a better word be like... depeopleization? I mean they're not human, and humans aren't the standard for what makes a person a person... i just can't come up with a better word?).
Over the years - though specifically since the calamity - goblins and humans have been in a turf war. Because of the magical calamities displacing many humans and goblins alike, humans began to move in on goblin territory, which was seen as a threat to the goblins. Because humans and goblins have refused to talk about it (with language barriers being a big issue), there has been no real resolution. Every time humans try to expand into goblin territory, war is amok until the humans back off. -
Are there any people trying to bridge the divide between goblins and humans? Is there someone who's learned the goblin language so they can put an end to the fighting?

This actually becomes the center of a plot point much further down the line, but at the moment, there are no big significant figures trying to bridge the racial divide. Those that exist are few and quickly snuffed out because of the intense violence and tension between goblins and humans. There are maybe a few that have run off together - humans and goblins - but no groups large enough to make a difference, and no voices loud enough or strong enough to change people's views. Yet.
As far as learning the goblin's language, there are humans who have done so, but it hasn't helped to end the fighting. The conflict goes deeper than just language barriers and misunderstandings. At to root of it, humans don't see goblins on the same level of personhood as humans, and neither do goblins of humans. Goblins also despise that humans have demonized magic, and humans despise that goblins openly use it (often as a weapon).
That, and, ever since the calamity, goblins and humans have been scrambling to claim land as their own - trying to establish hard boundary lines. At first, the goblins were just trying to push back humans from coming into their territory, while humans were just trying to imperialize and take over as much as possible.Spoiler
But in recent years, goblins have also taken to expanding their empire, so it's really on both sides.
