September 4-6 (Labor/Labour Day weekend) is the International 3-Day Novel Contest! Write 50k in three days!
Last year, we set up three different levels? I can't really remember them. xD But they were something like:
Beginner: 20k
Intermediate: 35k
Advanced: 50k
Just because we're, you know, young writers. But the real event is writing 50k in just that weekend! Who's gonna try? Last year, I made it past Beginner. Maybe I'll make it past Intermediate this time!

k means thousand. So:
Beginner: 20,000
Intermediate: 35,000
Advanced: 50,000 -

Oh my gosh, that sounds scary. O.o I'm not sure I would even make it past 10,000. But hey, it doesn't hurt to try, does it? Jabberhut and meggwriting, I wish you luck!

Ooooooh. o.o So tempting. Last year, for NaNoWriMo, I got 50,000 words in fifteen days... *does math* I think that 20,000 at least wouldn't be so bad...
Oh, but wait. Labor day weekend? That would be Lifelight weekend. XD I'll be too busy listening to a bunch of awesome bands, live. >.<

Ooh, well, since I'm in Guam now and there's no hope of me going to Dragon*Con this year (Like Rogue, I'd rather get hit by a tractor than miss Dragon*Con, but if the $$$ isn't there, can't do much about it) and I don't know what else to do with myself...
I'll probably try it. Muahahah! I might get past like 5k. *snickers* -

We'll see. I'd like to try it, but who knows where I'll be then... though someday I may try this on my own. It's only three days, afterall.

I would, and I should - but I can't, literally. These days I barely get to bed before twelve, let alone trying to fit a novel into the four hours of "free time" I have.
Free time = homework, studies, and...sleeping. Hey, I plan on getting in to college. Which means I have to keep my marks up.
