   Alas, I must admit defeat. I broke 5,000 words but didn't even get to 10k (unless you count all the Squills articles I wrote, which I considered but ultimately decided against). My first year I at least finished a draft; this year I didn't manage it. It's definitely the worst year I've ever had in terms of NaNo success.
   
   But on the plus side, I did get more writing done on TBM this month than I really have in the past while, so that's still kind of a personal win.
   
   Even though I totally lost.

   Well, I won in terms of meeting my goal of 17k words . . . better than nothing And it may or may not have been at 11:30 last night . . .

    I have successfully completed my personal goal, having ended the final day of the month by writing my last thousand words necessary and reaching a total of 30,012 words!
    
    And yes, if you're wondering, I am happy.
