    Last night at bible study, we were talking about the original sin and Adam and Eve and the Garden of Eden and all that good stuff.
    ANYWAY.
    This point was brought up about where that bone God used to make the woman was taken from, which I never thought of the significance of before. It was pretty cool.

    She was taken from Adam's rib. Close to the heart - influential; under the arm - protected. She was not a foot bone; she is not to be walked upon. She was not an arm bone; she is not to do all the work. She was not a head bone; she is not the ruler.
    She is not inferior nor superior. She is a woman.

    And if that doesn't make me feel proud to be one, I don't know what does. : )

    Amen! While I do believe that in a family life a woman should submit to her husband, I don't think that means that women are more or less valuable than men. I believe that God created us equal, male and female, black and white, and that I can still work in male-dominated fields while honoring God.

    Hallelujah! I second that. Funny enough my daily devotional today spoke about how the bible often makes reference to the influence and power of women and it gave several examples that I'd never even thought into before. I guess it was a nice reminder seeing that without the right information I tend to forget that though we know we're awesome as women, God wants us to know it too.
