    Whenever I go to parties and people are putting music on they always say anyone can put whatever they like on "as long as it's chill". This doesn't take in much of my music taste at all, so I'm trying to branch out based on the chill stuff I do like. Based on the following bands, does anyone have recommendations?

    Fangclub
    The Excerts
    Arcane Roots
    The Academic (literally just discovered them so may have just stumbled onto a chill song by chance)
    Circa Waves
    Like, any other stoner rock/melodic grunge I guess?

    i guess... they tend to get quite agitated though. like, "i'm so ugly, but that's okayyyy cos so are you" is fine, but before you know it it's going "WELL THE LIGHTS OUT AND IT'S DANGEROUS HERE WE ARE NOW CAN'T CONTAIN US"

    for the record i have since then discovered the genre of post-punk and The Pixies will from now on be my lifesaver in this sort of situation
